The woodblocks, cut with the assistance of Germaine de Coster, were hand-printed in Paris by<br />

Yoshijiro Urushibara under the direction of Jules Chadel (1870–1941). It was Urushibara, an<br />

excellent Japanese master, who tought Chadel this printing technique which requires up to 8<br />

First edition. Influenced by Cuno Amiet and Emil Orlik, Walter Klemm (1885–1957), became<br />

professor at the Weimar academy in 1913. Besides the present work Klemm got famous with his<br />

illustrations to «Robinson Crusoe» and Kipling’s «Jungle Book». – A good to very good copy.<br />
