<br />
A novel tissue-tracking system that enables automatic assessment of two-dimensional strain of left ventricle segments<br />
simultaneously from gray-scale digital echocardiography images has been developed by Hitachi Medical Corporation. We<br />
have validated its accuracy in an animal study and then assessed this new technique in the clinical images. This report<br />
provide the current usefulness of the <strong>2D</strong> <strong>Tissue</strong> <strong>Tracking</strong> technique, and future direction of this new technique.<br />
