• Alejandro has not renewed his <strong>IEEE</strong> membership<br />
• Two GOLD events have already been held this year<br />

9.2. Communications and Signal Processing joint chapter - Dr Iain Collings Chair<br />
• John Robinson has signed petition(7 signatures) for Joint Communications, Signal<br />
Processing and Oceanic Engineering Society chapter<br />
• Graeme Gwilliam put the motion:<br />
“The NSW Section supports the joint chapter formation of the Oceanic<br />
Engineering Society and Communications and Signal Processing Society chapters<br />
in New South Wales.”<br />
Nuala Ward seconded the motion.<br />
The motion was carried unanimously.<br />

9.4. Education Chapter – Mark Lee Chair<br />
• One event held and L31 form lodged.<br />
9.5. Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society - Jeff Armitstead Chair<br />
• Jeff Armitstead supplied article for Circuit<br />
• Web site is up and running<br />
• In the process of organising meeting at ANSTO<br />
• EMBC 2013 conference bid. Melbourne bid is significantly ahead of NSW and they<br />
have NZ onboard. Consult with Carolyn re prospects and as to whether to back<br />
Melbourne as there are other strong bids(Korea)<br />
• Decision late 2008 or early 2009.<br />
