A PROVEN BUSINESS
Bemis’ commitment to technology and innovation, manufacturing
excellence, and customer focus has been an integral part of our business
strategy throughout our long history.
Our unique materials and manufacturing processes combine to offer customers high-performance
products that respond to their specific product needs and are not available from our
competitors. We develop film structures using multiple layers of polymer resins to vary package
strength, stiffness, oxygen barrier, or moisture barrier. Applying our polymer and
paper expertise, we can design package materials that maximize the
throughput in the customer’s plant by tailoring a product to the
specifications needed for a particular machine. We have also
developed pressure sensitive adhesives that meet customers’
strict application specifications and offer improved efficiency
in their printing operations.
Many of our packaging products are printed with
high-quality graphics that are designed to attract
consumers. We use flexographic and rotogravure
printing processes to create award-winning, photoquality
graphics on polyester film that can be laminated
to a multilayer package to give it eye-catching shine.
Utilizing one of its patented industrial
adhesive technologies, MACtac
recently launched UGlu as the first
product in a new retail initiative.
UGlu adhesive strips combine the
strength of industrial adhesive with
the convenience of tape to provide
consumers with a non-toxic, acidfree
way to bond almost any two
surfaces together.

the shelf appeal of these popular
Brazilian cookies.
Our proprietary sealants offer high-performance packaging
for challenging environments and our unique
processes and film structures provide consumers with
convenience features like easy opening, reclosability, and
carrying handles.

Our facilities are generally dedicated to a particular market or process,
a manufacturing plan that we refer to as focused factories. By limiting the
variation in processes or materials being used in a particular factory, our technicians develop
strong expertise in specific materials or processes and provide our products with a cost- and
quality-driven competitive advantage in the market. Business teams throughout our global
operations are dedicated to implementation of new procedures and process improvements
that are further improving our cost structure and our service model.
We have added capacity in our high-growth markets over the past several years and have installed
state-of-the-art equipment to meet the growing needs of these customers. With these
investments completed, our customers will benefit from Bemis’ strong portfolio of innovative
products and ample capacity to meet demand in these rapidly expanding markets.

that makes it stand out among
competing products on store shelves.
Our proprietary EZ Peel polyester lidding film makes this
dental floss package easy to open and delivers printed
graphics that give it great shelf appeal. Unlike bulky
paperboard backing, it also enhances the package’s
sustainability by contributing to significant material
source reduction.

high-barrier foil for medical
device and pharmaceutical products is
produced on Bemis’ new, world class,
state-of-the-art laminator.
