Farmers Market & Craft Fair, <strong>August</strong> 17 from 9 till 3 pm.<br />

Offering fresh produce, plants, flowers, jams, jellies and<br />

baked goods. Glass, pottery, jewelry tie died tees,<br />

book bindery, hand carved spoons and more. Music by<br />

“COW HAMPSHIRE FOLK” Old time, new time, good time<br />

music. Don’t miss this great event at Butler Park.<br />

HARRIS CENTER: Hancock: Trail Clearing Along the<br />

Cadot Trail Harris Center volunteer trail chief Jim Orr will<br />

lead a crew of volunteers in clearing brush along the<br />

Cadot Trail on Mount Skatutakee. All ages are welcome<br />

to participate in this moderately easy work morning.<br />

Tools will be provided, but bring gloves, a bow saw, and<br />

loppers if you have them. Bring water and a snack, and<br />

meet at the Cadot Trailhead on Old Dublin Road at 9 a.m.<br />

Back by noon.<br />

SRK GREENWAY: “<strong>The</strong> Road Less Traveled Trip” to<br />

Pillsbury/Sunapee Highlands in Goshen and Newbury.<br />

We follow Goshen Historical Society trail to historic<br />

Franklin Pierce lead mine. From the mine, we join the<br />

Five Summers Trail to the Monadnock/Sunapee Greenway<br />

and Lucia’s Lookout. While hiking, we will “read”<br />

the trail and talk a bit about better maintenance. 6 mi.<br />

MOVIE NIGHT: Come to the family movie night on to<br />

watch “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs” on the big<br />

screen downstairs at Smith Memorial Congregational<br />

Church “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs” is a 2009<br />

computer-animated film inspired by the beloved<br />

children’s book. Admission is free and complimentary<br />

popcorn and a drink will be served. <strong>The</strong> doors open at<br />

6:30pm and the movie begins at 7pm.<br />

CHICKEN DINNER: St. Peter's Lodge Bradford Chicken<br />

Dinner with 'all the fixin's." All proceeds to benefit the<br />

Bradford Brown Memorial Library. Serving 5 to 7 pm.<br />

Event. Connect with people, places and events of times<br />

past at the Hillsborough, NH, interactive Living History<br />

Event. Stroll through encampments of fur traders to<br />

Civil War soldiers; see and hear cannons and Native<br />

Americans in battle; try early crafts and games; pan for<br />

gold in the river; tour stone arch bridges on back roads;<br />

chat with Ben Franklin; hear live period music; watch<br />

demonstrations by skilled craftsmen; experience daily<br />

life in 18th and 19th century America at four historic<br />

sites in Hillsborough, NH. Admission fee for other sites<br />

are applicable.<br />
