Local crafters featured at 80th League of NH Craftmen's Fair<br />

<strong>The</strong> 80th Annual League of New<br />

Hampshire Craftsmen’s Fair at Mount<br />

Sunapee Resort opended on <strong>August</strong> 3rd<br />

and will run through <strong>August</strong> 11th. Organizers<br />

expect about 30,000 people to attend<br />

the nation’s oldest continuously running<br />

Craft Fair which offers demonstrations,<br />

workshops, performing arts, exhibits,<br />

featuring more than 200 juried League of<br />

New Hampshire Craftsmen, including the<br />

following local artists: Susan Beere, art and<br />

design, Warner; Ted Blachly, furniture,<br />

Warner; Cherie De<strong>August</strong>inis, 3-delusional<br />

art, Sunapee; Joseph DeRobertis, New<br />

London; Brita Ek, A Touch of Sweden, New<br />

London; J. Ann Eldridge, hand-painted<br />

Intaglio etchings, Bradford; David Ernster,<br />

Newbury; Nancy Evans, fanciful fiber,<br />

South Sutton; Zachary Jonas, blade and<br />

metal works, Wilmot; Sandy Luckury,<br />

braided rugs, Bradford; John Lunn, flutes,<br />

Newport; Pam Morland, sweet hearts, New<br />

Back To School Time already?<br />

<strong>The</strong> first day of classes at the Henniker<br />

Community School, Center Woods<br />

Elementary, and Weare Middle School will<br />

be Wednesday, <strong>August</strong> 28. Freshman Fest<br />

at John Stark is also Wednesday, <strong>August</strong><br />

28, with the first day of classes for sophomores,<br />

juniors and seniors at John Stark<br />

on Thursday, <strong>August</strong> 29. <strong>The</strong> school day at<br />

both HCS and JSRHS is 8:15 AM to 3 PM.<br />

Center Woods Elementary is 8:30 AM to<br />

2:45 PM and Weare Middle School 7:30<br />

to 2:05 PM. Parents please note: information<br />

packets will go home with all students<br />

on their first day of classes. (In the past,<br />

those packets have been mailed to John<br />

Stark families).<br />
