Part 7: Try out different data bindings
So far, you have used HTTPStreamDataBindingXML for the input and the output. Hence the HTTP
request and response contain the data payload as XML. Here, you will use XML payload on the HTTP request
but receive the HTTP response as SOAP payload.

Modify the data bindings for the HTTP Import on the client side:
__ a. In Business Integration view, expand SQuoteClient module and double click on Assembly
Diagram (
) to open it in an Assembly Diagram editor
__ b. Select the SQouteHTTP import binding, and then select the Properties tab at the bottom of the
tool
__ c. In the Properties view, select Method bindings and then select the ‘Data Serialization’ for the
getQuote method
__ d. Click the Browse button for the Input data binding. On the ‘Data Binding Selection’ panel, select
the radio button next to ‘Show Data binding class’ and then select
‘HTTPStreamDataBindingXML’
__ e. Click OK
__ f. Click the Browse button for the ‘Output data binding’. On the ‘Data Binding Selection’ panel,
select the radio button for ‘Show Data binding class’ and then select
‘HTTPStreamDataBindingSOAP’
