WHY THE INK ENVIRONMENT
IS SO IMPORTANT
The environment is the place where we all live. The better the state of the
environment, the better the quality of life we will have. This is because people use
and depend on the environment in a number of ways, for example:
clean & healthy rivers
Clean and healthy rivers in our neighbourhoods are safe places for children to
swim, and for people to collect water for free to use at home – BUT dirty and
unhealthy rivers cannot be enjoyed for swimming and the water is not safe to
use at home.
Gardens where the soils have been looked after produce good crops for people
to eat and sell – BUT places where the topsoil has washed away or been
damaged by poor agricultural practices do
not produce good crops, and have to be
left alone to recover.
