22nd European Athletics Junior Championships Rieti, Raul Guidobaldi Stadium 6. TRANSPORT 6.1 Transportation Desk The Transportation Desk will be located in the PalaCordoni (just outside the stadium), with the following opening hours: Monday, 15 July – Sunday, 21 July 07:00 – 22:00 Monday, 22 July 07:00 – 20:00 6.2 BUS Service A regular bus service will be provided between the hotels and the stadium. Transfer time between the Pantagruel Hotel and the competition venue is approximately 25 minutes. Transfer time between the Cavour Hotel and the competition venue is approximately 5 minutes. 7. ACCREDITATION 7.1 General Each media will receive an accreditation card, which must be worn at all times and should be clearly visible. Security personnel will control all areas. The accreditation is not transferable and does not allow the holder to take another person beyond checkpoints. Photos are not required for the accreditation card system. 7.2 Accreditation Procedure Accreditation cards will be prepared in advance, based on the information provided by the Member Federation through the online entry system. No changes will be accepted after the final entry deadline. Accreditation cards will be distributed in the PalaCordoni Hall, just outside the stadium. 7.3 Loss of an Accreditation Card Any lost or damaged accreditation cards should be reported to LOC, at the accreditation centre. Duplicate cards can be obtained where proof of identity can be established. 14
22nd European Athletics Junior Championships Rieti, Raul Guidobaldi Stadium 7.4 Access Areas for Media All media accreditation cards will allow access to the media tribune, mixed zone and press centre. 8. MEDIA FACILITIES AT THE STADIUM Media Centre Media centre is located inside the Raul Guidobaldi stadium, right next to the mixed zone. Fully equipped working places are available for photographers and written press. There is also wireless Internet connection free of charge. Work places are occupied on a first come basis. Pigeon-holes containing entry lists, start lists, results, news, press releases and flash quotes will be situated closely to the Media Info Desk. Journalists are asked to sign at Media Centre whether they wish to receive hardcopy results or not. By doing this we can reduce the amount of paper waste during the championships and help the environment. The Media Info Desk has on-call volunteers at all times, and they will be happy to help you with any questions or concerns. There will also be a small selection of refreshments available throughout the day, including coffee, water, and light snacks. Opening hours: July 16 from 9:00 to 18:00 July 17 from 9:00 to 18:00 July 18 from 8:00 to 23:00 July 19 from 8:00 to 23:00 July 20 from 8:00 to 23:00 July 21 from 8:00 to 23:00 Media Tribune Media Tribune is situated on the main stand. The Media Tribune offers 36 seats, all equipped with electricity. CIS monitors are provided for online updated information. There is a powerful wireless Internet connection. Start lists, results and flash quotes will be distributed in the Media Tribune during the competitions to journalists who have registered their request for paper copies at the Media Center in advance. The seating plan is available in the Media Centre. Mixed Zone The purpose of the Mixed Zone is to allow journalists to talk to the athletes about their performances as they leave the field immediately after the competition. All athletes should leave the stadium through the Mixed Zone and it is the only 15
