Letter on Canal and Straits
In connection with Article VII of the Agreement
between Egypt and Israel, Egypt regards the Israeli
cargoes that'may pass through the Canal ,as including
oil and raw materials.

Egypt also regards the Red Sea, its approaches and
straits leading to it, and the Straits of Bab
al-Mandab as an international waterway for ships
of all flags. Neither Party shall interfere with
the free and unimpeded transit of any ship or
cargo through those Straits or with the flight of
aircraft over those Straits and other areas
mentioned above .
