Instructions:
CAUTION
To prevent static damage to sensitive components, use a grounded wrist strap, mat, and tools when
handling printed circuit modules.
1. Locate the Framestore module (064814-XX) in the lower right front B Bay and remove it. The
Framestore mezzanine (064843-00) to be modified is mounted on the Framestore module.
2. The modification must be done on the solder side of the mezzanine. Remove the mezzanine
from the main module by removing the four screws holding it in place and carefully prying it
up with a suitable tool from the three connectors.
3. On the component side of the mezzanine, locate IC U32 as shown in Figure 1. Turn the
mezzanine over and locate IC U57. Below IC57, locate the feedthrough hole from IC U32 as
shown in Figure 1.
4. Trim the leads of the 100 ohm resistor provided (RV1000-00) to about 1/2 inch solder one side
to the feedthrough hole of U32 as shown in Figure 1.
5. Trim the leads of the 100 pF capacitor provided (CB2227-01) to about 1/2 inch and solder one
side to the free lead of the 100 ohm resistor and the other lead to the bottom of the capacitor
(GND) next to R31 as shown in the figure.
6. Re-install the mezzanine onto the main module by carefully lining up the connectors and
replacing the four screws.
7. Place the green FMN sticker included with this kit in a prominent place on the component side
of the mezzanine module to indicate this change has been made.
8. Re-install the main Framestore module into the frame.
