ANIMALS WILL NEED TO BE LEFT INSIDE THE VEHICLE. Arrival time on Sunday is from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Follow the camp drive to our main parking lot and park in front of the pavilion. Upon arrival please follow the check in procedures handing to you upon arrival. There will be lots of camp staff there to guide you through the process of checking in. Pick up is at 6:15 pm on Friday at the end of each week. Campers will have dinner before they leave camp. The Trading Post (Camp Store) will be open on Sundays and Fridays for your convenience. Cash, check, adventure credits and credit cards are accepted. Girls will also visit the Trading Post throughout the week. In addition, if you have any questions or concerns to share with her before the start of camp, please feel free to email her at jsaul@gsep.org or call her at 610-791- 2411 ext 1518 Pictures: You may order a color photograph of your camper and her fellow campers and counselors and place the $6.00 fee in the Trading Post envelope. They are distributed on Friday before departure. Mosey Wood Rafting Trips Optional rafting trip for campers signed up in Cadette, Senior and Ambassador Programs only! Each week your camper can participate in a guided rafting trip down the Lehigh River. Please bring the $35 fee with you to check in and be prepared to sign the waiver forms. Please remember that campers may not bring food or scented items with them to camp as this attracts critters to their luggage and tent. Check the Do Not Bring section in the enclosed packet for more information. 2
DIRECTIONS TO CAMP MOSEY WOOD Mosey Wood does not have a street address for GPS navigation systems and internet map directions are incorrect!! You can enter the address for Split Rock Resort, 1 Lake Drive, Lake Harmony, PA 18624, this address is close to camp, but the directions below are very easy to follow! From the Northeast Extension of the PA Turnpike (I-476) Travel north to the Pocono Interchange and go east as below. From Interstate 78, go north on Northeast Extension of the PA Turnpike. Get off at Pocono Interchange. Go east on Route 940 for 4 miles to signal light. (Split Rock sign on the right, Jack Frost signs on left) Turn right onto Mosey Wood Road and continue to camp entrance on the right. From Bethlehem or Easton areas, go north on Route 33 to Bartonsville. Go west on Interstate 80 to Blakeslee exit. Go north on Route 115 to Blakeslee Corners, turn west on Route 940 and continue for 2½ miles to the signal light (Split Rock sign on the left, Jack Frost signs on right). Turn left onto Mosey Wood Road and continue to camp entrance on right. From Reading area, go north on Route 61 to Route 81. Follow Route 81 north to intersection of Route 80 above Hazelton. Go east on Route 80 to fourth exit marked PA Turnpike. From there follow Route 940 east for 4 miles to the signal light. Turn right onto Mosey Wood Road and continue to camp entrance on right OR use the Turnpike from Allentown and follow direction #1. From New Jersey travel to Interstate 80. Travel West to the Blakeslee (Route 115) exit. Travel north on 115 to the signal light in Blakeslee. At the light turn left onto route 940 and travel west for 2 ½ miles to the signal light. Turn left onto Mosey Wood Road and continue to camp entrance on the right. NOTE: Mosey Wood Road requires a $1.00 toll. On the weekend of July 4 th , please tell the tool take that you are picking up a Girl Scout at Camp Mosey Wood to avoid the $10 holiday toll. 3
