REGISTRATION POLICIES AND PROCEDURES<br />

Finalizing Registration<br />

Mail Registration Forms to: Registration Department, P.O. Box 27540, Philadelphia, PA 19118.<br />

Final payment <strong>of</strong> the total fee is due five (5) weeks before camper’s camp session begins<br />

(partial payments will be accepted between registration and the final payment date).<br />

Include <strong>Camp</strong>er Confirmation Form (the form you received by mail) with final payment. Be sure to<br />

mark your check or money order with your camper’s name and the name <strong>of</strong> her camp session(s).<br />

There will be a $30 fee for all returned checks.<br />

Final Payment<br />

Final payment <strong>of</strong> the total fee is due five (5) weeks before your camper's camp session begins. Partial<br />

payment will be accepted between registration and the final payment due date. Clearly identify your check or<br />

money order with your camper's name and session. Credit card payments can be made by calling the<br />

camp registrar. In order to hold your camper's space in her session and program, please observe payment<br />

deadline. (We sometimes have a waiting list!) Registrations received five (5) weeks or less before the start <strong>of</strong><br />

the session require full payment with registration for placement.<br />

Change <strong>of</strong> Session<br />

If it is necessary to change the choice <strong>of</strong> session once your camper has been placed, you must notify the <strong>Camp</strong> Registrar immediately by<br />

phone, email or in writing. If you call, please follow up with a written note to confirm your change request. A new confirmation letter will be sent if<br />

there is space in the other session you request. Your cooperation in notifying us in time to place another child is appreciated.<br />

In-Season Registration<br />

If your camper has a WONDERFUL time at camp, and wants another camp program, we may have a place for her later in the summer. Call the<br />

registrar to see if there is availability in another session.<br />

Cancellations and Refund Policy<br />

If illness prevents a girl from attending camp, the fee will be refunded if the <strong>Girl</strong> Scout Office (or <strong>Camp</strong> Office on Sunday) is notified on or before<br />

the day the girl is to arrive. All refund requests must be written and accompanied by a doctor's note. No refunds will be made to any<br />

participants who do not attend for any other reason or who leave before the session ends.<br />

<strong>Camp</strong>er’s Accident and Sickness Insurance<br />

The <strong>Girl</strong> Scout Council provides supplemental medical expense coverage for both accident and sickness for all participants in resident camp. This<br />

is included in your camp fee. In most cases, the insurance forms will be handled by the camp and the doctor or hospital. If you have any<br />

questions regarding insurance during camp, call the <strong>Camp</strong> <strong>Director</strong>. After camp is over, please check with the Human Resources department at<br />

the Shelly Ridge <strong>of</strong>fice.<br />
