WHAT TO BRING TO CAMP
All possessions must be marked with camper’s first and last name.
Necessary Items
> Water bottle
> Towels (4)
> Pillow & pillow case
> Wash cloths (2)
> Toilet articles in a small plastic bucket
> Non-aerosol insect repellent
> Flashlight
> Small Backpack
> Shower shoes
> Sun screen
> Unbreakable cup, plate, bowl, & silverware for cookouts
or a mess kit*
> Sleeping bag & 1 blanket or 3 heavy blankets & 2 sheets
> Dish dunking bag* or 2 dishcloths sewn together on 3 sides
> Laundry bag, mesh or cloth (do not send a plastic garbage bag as
clothes mildew and the bags all look alike)
> Ground cloth* or piece of plastic about 4' x 7' to be used under
sleeping bag when sleeping out on the ground
> Fitted twin size sheet to wrap around mattress
Suggested Clothing
> Sweater or sweatshirt
> Shorts & shirts (6 sets)
> Warm jacket
> Bathing suits (2) (bathing cap will be issued at camp)
> Rain boots
> Pajamas
> Socks (at least 6 pairs)
> Underwear (8 pair)
> Sneakers (1 old & 1 new pair)
> Sturdy shoes (no sandals)
> Hat with brim
> Long pants or jeans (at least 2 pairs)
> Raincoat or poncho
Optional Items
> Stationery & stamps
> Camera
> Notebook & pencil
> Sit-upon (small piece of plastic)
> Swimming goggles
> Books to read during free time or bedtime
> Wash line & clothespins
> Sport sandals for boating
* These items, and Girl Scout sportswear, are available at the Council
Shops.
It is suggested that you pack belongings in a large plastic tote box, trunk or suitcase. Lost and found items will be kept at camp until August 21.
Unclaimed items will be given to a clothing bank. If you discover you have lost an item, please call the camp immediately to make arrangements for
pick-up. Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania will not be responsible for any damages to any personal equipment brought to camp. This
includes electronic equipment (radios, video games, ipods) and jewelry. Cell phones will be confiscated.
