Welcome to Summer
at Hammond!
We are excited about the upcoming
summer months and invite you to join the
Hammond family for a great summer experience.
For years we have hosted a variety of programs
for students in the community. Our summer
begins June 4th and runs through August 3rd.
No matter what you are looking for this summer,
you’re sure to find it in one of Hammond’s camps.
Whether you choose to spend your mornings
with us or several weeks, we are confident your
child will have a summer filled with smiles,
laughter, new friends, and great memories.
With over 50 programs available, there
is something for all ages and interests. Programs
range from sports, academics, and arts to more
exclusive offerings, such as fly fishing, Adventure
Camp, and Vehicle Engineering. We take summer
fun seriously, which means our camp counselors,
faculty, and coaches are teaming up to provide
students and adults throughout the community
with the best experience possible. Hammond’s
outstanding facilities provide the perfect setting
for a great summer experience.
We have all the elements to make it
a summer worth remembering. Whether it’s
exploring the great outdoors, getting a jump-start
on the upcoming academic year, or learning a
new and exciting skill, Hammond has a program
to get you and your child excited. We hope you

Our online registration will help make
camp registration quick and easy. After the first
sign-up, all general information repopulates
from camp to camp, and families may use their
login and password to add or change camp

Meet Our Newest Addition: Hawk Ridge

Hawk Ridge full day camp is designed to provide campers from rising PK through rising 6 th graders with a summer
full of fun activities and other hands-on enrichment opportunities. Campers will be divided into three age groups; PK-
1 st grades, 2 nd -4 th grades, and 5 th -6 th grades, and will have the opportunity to experience fitness and games, art, outdoor
adventures, water parks and more. Camp activities are carefully organized according to age group and led by caring
and responsible camp counselors. Throughout the week emphasis will be placed on participation, character building,
cooperation and teamwork, sportsmanship, and leadership. Students will be challenged during the week to express
themselves honestly about current events, news, and other important topics. Snacks are provided both morning and
afternoon, but students should bring their own lunch each day. Hawk Ridge can be used in conjunction with all morning
and afternoon offerings. Hawk Ridge is not “day care.” Our main goal is for your children to have a wonderful and
memorable experience during their time at Hammond.
Arts and Crafts
Campers will complete many creative projects with
Mr. Lalumondier. Activities are geared for boys and
girls of various age levels. Children will spend some
of their time using all kinds of materials and supplies
to make different creations.
Fitness and Games
Structured indoor and outdoor play is designed to
provide each camper with a fun, competitive and
instructional approach to teamwork through a variety
of energy-burning activities taught by our coaches
and P.E. staff.
Team Sports
Sports such as kickball, soccer, and basketball are
taught and geared toward teaching teamwork and
sportsmanship. Older groups will participate in more
advanced sports like capture the flag, hockey, and
dodgeball.
Nature and Science
Hands-on experience and projects will
include nature walks down to the
south campus boardwalks as
well as science classes with
Beaker Billy.
Field Trips
Trips may include Palmetto Falls
where students can cool off in
the lazy river or underneath the
wild and wacky sprinklers on the
slab at Saluda Shoals.
