Mr. Kevin White graduated from the University of<br />

South Carolina with a B.A. in Psychology and<br />

minors in Early Childhood Education and<br />

Elementary Education. He holds an Educational<br />

Specialist degree, Masters of Education in<br />

Divergent Learning, and is currently working on a<br />

Masters in Organizational Change and<br />

Leadership. Mr. White has worked with the USC<br />

Child Development and Research Center in a<br />

variety of capacities including teaching,<br />

administration, training programs for teachers<br />

and serving on the Advisory Board.<br />

Mr. David Booth recently relocated to Columbia<br />

from Clearwater, Florida. Mr. Booth completed<br />

his Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies from<br />

Trinity College of Florida. He has earned his<br />

Master of Arts in Theology, and is currently<br />

working on a Masters in Education at Columbia<br />

International University. Mr. Booth is very excited<br />

to be a part of the <strong>Hammond</strong> Community.<br />

Mrs. Tari Goodwin is a native of Chester, SC.<br />

Mrs. Goodwin graduated from Claflin University<br />

w<strong>here</strong> she earned a Bachelor's of Arts degree in<br />

Childhood Development. Currently, Mrs.<br />

Goodwin is pursuing her Master's degree in<br />

Organizational Change and Leadership from<br />

Columbia College. She has over 8 years of<br />

classroom experience and enjoys the interactions<br />

with young children. Mrs. Goodwin is happy to<br />

Mrs. Alexandra Patterson, is a native of Essex in<br />

Great Britain. Her quest of pursuing a life-long<br />

interest of art began immediately after graduating<br />

high school to attend Colchester College or Art &<br />

Design in England. Having relocated to the<br />

United States in 1991, Mrs. Patterson obtained a<br />

Bachelor’s of Fine Art (emphasis in Graphic<br />

Design) from Eastern New Mexico University,<br />

NM. Mrs. Patterson’s professional career<br />

includes: art, design and yearbook teacher at<br />

both middle and high school levels (through six<br />

years of volunteerism). Additionally, she has<br />

served as a para-professional tutor and special<br />

needs substitute educational assistant for various<br />

schools in Hawaii. Mrs. Patterson has been an<br />

educator working with all age groups for over ten


years. She is new to the <strong>Hammond</strong> community<br />

and is excited to be <strong>here</strong>!<br />

a <strong>Hammond</strong> parent with a daughter in the 2 nd<br />

Mrs. Jennifer Hall has been a part of the<br />

<strong>Hammond</strong> Lower <strong>School</strong> faculty for the past 21<br />

years. She taught third grade for 16 years and<br />

currently is an Assistant to Kindergarten. She<br />

earned her Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood<br />

Education from Clemson University and a Master<br />

of Education in Reading from the University of<br />

South Carolina.<br />

Ms. Bethany Jolly has been an Assistant to<br />

Kindergarten at <strong>Hammond</strong> Lower <strong>School</strong> since<br />

2011. She is a native of Washington, DC and<br />

moved to South Carolina to attend Wofford<br />

College w<strong>here</strong> she earned a Bachelor of Arts in<br />

Business Economics. Ms. Jolly earned her<br />

Master of Arts in Teaching of Early Childhood<br />

Education at Converse College and moved to<br />

Columbia to work at <strong>Hammond</strong> <strong>School</strong>.<br />

Mrs. Kris Teeter attended Calvin College in<br />

Grand Rapids, Michigan and earned her<br />

Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education with<br />

minors in Math and Art. She taught fourth grade<br />

for 6 years in Charlotte, North Carolina and has<br />

been teaching fourth grade at <strong>Hammond</strong> <strong>School</strong><br />

for 15 years. She enjoys traveling, reading, and<br />

doing crafts in her spare time.<br />

Coach Doug Adams has been a PTR Certified<br />

Tennis Instructor for 11 years. He has been a<br />

tennis coach at Heathwood Hall for 10 years and<br />

has been an Enrichment Instructor at <strong>Hammond</strong><br />

<strong>School</strong> for 5 years.<br />

Mr. Michael Bank<br />

Mr. Michael Bank is a fourth degree black belt<br />

who has made enhancing his students’ agility,<br />

flexibility, stamina, reflexes, and strength, his<br />

life’s passion. He found that such training has<br />

several beneficial side effects, including<br />

increased self-confidence, self-discipline, and<br />

mental focus. Mr. Bank holds a Bachelor of<br />

Science in Business, Criminal Justice, and<br />

Sports Coaching from the University of South<br />

Carolina. He has served six years at McEntire<br />

Joint National Guard Station with the 169th<br />

Security Forces Squadron. Mr. Bank was<br />

recognized for his work as a Martial Arts<br />

Instructor with the US Air Force. Mr. Bank has<br />

been an Enrichment Instructor at <strong>Hammond</strong><br />

<strong>School</strong> since 2006.<br />

Mrs. Pam Boggs<br />

Mrs. Pam Boggs is a native of North Augusta,<br />

South Carolina. She graduated from the<br />

University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of<br />

Science in Physical Education. Mrs. Boggs was a<br />

scholarship varsity cheerleader at the University<br />

of South Carolina and earned the Most Spirited


award. She has over 23 years of experience<br />

teaching recreational cheerleading and tumbling<br />

classes and camps to students all across South<br />

Carolina. Mrs. Boggs has served as a judge at<br />

cheerleading competitions on local, state,<br />

national and international levels. In addition, she<br />

is a fitness enthusiast and wishes to spread her<br />

love for physical fitness to children, showing<br />

them that exercise can be fun and rewarding!<br />

Mr. George Bryan III is a PGA Professional, and<br />

the founder and Director of Instruction at George<br />

Bryan Golf Academy. He is a graduate of the<br />

University of South Carolina. Mr. Bryan was<br />

named 1998 Carolinas’ PGA Junior Golf Leader<br />

of the Year and selected by Golf Digest as one of<br />

the Best Teachers in South Carolina for 2000<br />

and 2001. He earned SC PGA Chapter Player of<br />

the Year honors in 2003 and played in the 1999<br />

PGA Championship at Medinah and the 2004<br />

MCI Heritage.<br />

Mr. Chase Butler graduated from North<br />

Greenville College in May of 2006 and<br />

Spartanburg Methodist College in 2003. He was<br />

a student of the George Bryan Golf Academy for<br />

15 years, enrolling when he was 8 years old! Mr.<br />

Butler has won the BMW Collegiate<br />

Championship and a number of junior<br />

championships. He is an Apprentice Golf<br />

Professional in the PGA of America, and his goal<br />

is to be a world class player and golf instructor!<br />

Mrs. Laura Clark<br />

Mrs. Laura Clark has recently relocated to the<br />

Columbia area from Sumter with her husband<br />

and four teenage sons. Mrs. Clark graduated<br />

from the University of Central Florida with her<br />

Bachelors Degree in Science. Mrs. Clark has<br />

been teaching for ten years with the last six years<br />

focused in Fine Arts and Performing Arts. She<br />

has directed over forty-eight productions in<br />

theatre, eight of which were musicals. Mrs. Clark<br />

loves creating characters with special effects,<br />

make-up and prosthetics and designing sets that<br />

help showcase her students. Her students under<br />

her direction have won awards in both art and<br />

theatre including a state championship for high<br />

school and two state runner-ups for middle<br />

school. She helped create and implement the<br />

SCISA State Drama Festival. She has performed<br />

in productions at the Sumter Little Theatre as<br />

well as the Hartsville Little Theatre w<strong>here</strong> she<br />

won Best Performance for her portrayal of Penny<br />

in “You Can’t Take It With You”. She loves<br />

sharing her enthusiasm and passion for the arts<br />

with her students. When she isn’t knee deep in<br />

scripts, painting or working with students she<br />

loves spending time on the lake with her husband<br />

and boys.<br />

Mr. Bob Crabb is a certified USPTA and PTR<br />

tennis instructor. Mr. Crabb taught tennis at the<br />

Richland County Tennis Center from 1978-2008.<br />

He was the tennis coach at Spring Valley and<br />

Richland Northeast from 1971-1987. Mr. Crabb<br />

was the South Carolina High <strong>School</strong> Tennis<br />

Coach of the Year in 1981. He has worked with<br />

both the <strong>Hammond</strong> <strong>School</strong> tennis teams and<br />

Enrichment Program since 2009.<br />

Mrs. Erika Cutler recently relocated to Columbia<br />

from Pittsburgh, PA, w<strong>here</strong> she had a thriving<br />

private violin and piano studio, and was an active<br />

performing violinist. Mrs. Cutler earned a<br />

Bachelor's degree in Violin Performance from<br />

Indiana University in Bloomington and a Master’s<br />

degree from Duquesne University.
