groupsplitintoteams–team‘Kickstart’and<br />
team‘Verve’–withthechallengeof‘enhancing’<br />
a<strong>Hanover</strong>estate.<br />
Bothteamsraisedtheir<br />
ownfundsfortheproject<br />
byorganisingoffice<br />
raffles,sellinghomemadeValentines<br />
cakes,andnegotiatingsupplierdiscounts<br />
andfreebies.<br />
‘Verve’alsohada£750Greenshootsgrantat<br />
theirdisposal–whichtheyusedtorenovatethe<br />
gardenat<strong>Hanover</strong>Court;transforming<br />
unkemptareas,intolowmaintenance,beautiful<br />
spacesthatallresidentscanenjoy.<br />
AtLavenderCourt,‘Kickstart’workedwith<br />
residentstotakephotographsoflocalscenery,<br />
whichwerethenusedtobrightenupthe<br />
communalareas.Theyalsobuiltalarge,brick<br />
barbecueforresidentsatPollardGardens–it<br />
wassuchasuccessthattheteamhavesince<br />
beeninvitedbacktotryitout!<br />
TeamVervewasdeclaredthe<br />
overallwinnerbutbothteamswere<br />
delightedwiththesuccessoftheday.<br />
