BromsgroveHighSchoolandresidentsfromSt<br />

JamesCourtandSpiresView,Bromsgrove<br />

sharedskillsandexperiencesusingart<br />

materials–andhadfunintheprocess.They<br />

chattedaboutwhetheraperfectdaywaswith<br />

friendsandfamily,onholidayormaybedoing<br />

somethingcreativealone.Someresidentschose<br />

theirweddinganniversary.Theythenworked<br />

togethertoillustratethesepersonalideasusing<br />

differentmediums.<br />

ProjectcoordinatorLisaBuckleysays:“Teenagers<br />

andolderpeopledon’toftengettheopportunity<br />

toswapexperiences–andthatcangiveriseto<br />

mutuallywrongimpressions.That’swhy<br />

intergenerationalworkissoimportant.”<br />

Residentvolunteer,PaulineTayloragreesand<br />

says:“Itwasamostenjoyableprojectbringing<br />

generationstogether–agedoesnotmatter.”<br />

Thevolunteers’workwasshowcasedatthe<br />

summerWorcesterFestival.Estatemanager<br />

JulieChamberssays:“Theexhibitionwasbrilliant.<br />

Oneofthemotherswassoimpressedwiththe<br />

workthatsheofferedtofundartmaterialsso<br />

wecankeepupthegoodwork.Withnew<br />

fundingsecured,theplanistocreatea‘living<br />

historymemory’.”<br />
