We are one of the leading suppliers of<br />
coating solutions to the container industry,<br />
with most of our activity concentrated in the<br />
Asia Pacific region, particularly China.<br />
Performance <strong>2011</strong><br />
The market for container coatings followed the same trends<br />
as the global economy in <strong>2011</strong>. With an increase of more than<br />
2 million TEU (twenty-foot equivalent units) in the first half of<br />
the year, there were grounds for optimism, which resulted in an<br />
estimate of more than 4 million TEU for the year. However, the<br />
second half of the year slowed considerably. But despite recent<br />
estimates indicating a total for the year of 3.7 million TEU, this<br />
is significantly higher than the 2.9 million TEU achieved in 2010.<br />
This contributed to overall growth in Container of 18 per cent<br />
compared with 2010.<br />
