McMichael Big Sandy was expecting 6.700 brethren bot ended UP.with 8,800. The same seemed to be true at the Lake of the Ozarks site amo ng othe rs, he said . As of press lime Mr. McMichael's office did not have final attend ance figures.' An unoffic ial tally by The . \ Good News ba sed o n re ports , gathered from sites around the world - shows 90 .200 brethren kept the Feast. (O ur figures are derived from registrat io n, high attenda nce and estimated figures. ) . In addition to the 075 sites around the world, The Good News is also rep or tin g o n the l , 383-str on g Pasaden a and ' Jerusalem ( 177) Feasts, which were not official sites as design ated by Mr. McMic hael's office. " ' Better a t~sp he re Mr . McMichael. who this year spoke at four new U.S . Feast sites (Fresno, Ca lif.; Seattl e, w ash.; Saratoga Springs, N.Y .; and Norfolk. Va .) , said the reaction he got from the Festiva l coo rdinators and the audiences he spoke to was that, "this year the atmos phere was better, more enthusiastic, more responsive than 'l'd'seen it in years an-d years. " " Jt was noticeable everywhere I went , and It' s what the other coo r dinators said as well," he said. Accordi ng to Mr. McMic hae l, Mr. Armstrong expanded the numbe r of church pastorswho spoke, maki ng for a grea ter variety of speakers . "More people at various sites saw their churc h pasto r speak than they had in recent years," he said . " Considering the many difficu lties the Ch urch has faced over the past year, to be able to experience such a wonder ful Festival with enthusiasm, sincerity and purpose is deepl y gratifying ." Armstrong in midweek was high point for the 6,630 brethr en registered for the Feast here. In his sermon Mr . Sermons were delivered by Gary Antion on per sonal aspect s of how to make a better Feast, Denni s Pyle on an overview of the world tomo rrow and looking 10 Christ. and Richard Rice on God's Spirit in us. Almo st an of the brethren attended the scheduled luau , and most took advantage of the fabulous weather to make short side tri ps 'in the islands . The 'relaxing and rejuvenatin g Feast was the best in years. John Ouvri er , LAKE OF TIlE OZARKS , Mn . - A total of 9.041 brethren registered for the Feast at the Church of God Co nvention Center in th e Ozarks, whe re the Feast ran very smoot hly and the members enjoyed clear skies and bright sunshine every day. Calif. - The unoffi cial Pa sad en a Festiva l ra n smoo thly, with attendance on the Holy Days reach ing 1,294 and 1,383 respectively. The weather was delightful and helped to create an enthu siast ic and co ngenial atmo sphere. In additio n to sermons by Dr. Her man Hoeh , Ben Chapman and Fred Co ulter, Leon Walker flew in from Tucson, Ariz., to add spice to the Festival and Bob Fahey presented the Amba ssador Jn t~nat ion al Cu.l· rural Foundation slide show and a ~ sermon on the Last Great Day. Joseph Tkach, associate pastor of · the Pasad en a Aud itorium P .M . cong regation . was designated as the Festival coordinator. Activities were des ign ed with all age-groups in mind . Bill Bra zil and his countryand-western band played for a dance in the Student Center , children and adults enjoy ed an evening of ro llerskating, and a banque t was held for the: seniorcinzens.The eldest present was Lizzie Hender son. rot. Armstrong set the stage for a fine Feast here. Feastgoers registering to attend services at the Bayfront Center Arena numbered 10,500. Principal speaker s were Mr. Armstrong, whose sermon on the hope we have in the future was videotaped for . later use , and Rod Meredith . David Anrion and Wayne Cole ; who d iscussedthe reality of what the Feast Days picture and how 10 weather the trials ahead . _... --". The ' wea ther was beautiful and warm enough for members to go to . the beach. Tbe only discomfort was the somewhat crowded conditions. .At services the people were ~ genui nely happy . ••A much needed ,- . Despite the cold the 4,800 brethren had feeling of being at one as they heard Roderick Meredith speak on the need for the coming Kingdom, Steve Martin on marriage and the family , Sherwin McMichael on reports from other Feast sites and leslie McCullough on the .need to be prepared for the diffic ult days ahead . Wash . - A larger number of Festiva lgoers than expected gat hered in the Seatt le Cen ter Arena for the Feast this year. The highe st attendance reco rded was 5,413, which topped the offic ial registratio n figures . Everyone see med to be o n a " spiritual high " from da y one to day eight. Attendance was larger than expected - offerings very good very few problems . Our Church members are reall y hang ing in there . Main speakers were Leslie McCullough , speak ing on the . meaning of the Feast in genera} ; Sherwin McMichael on the wo rld in which we live and the importance of the Work ; Art Mokarow on human potential; Bob Bertuzzi on rewards of the saved; Ronald Kelly , what it will be like to ·be spirit; Dale Schurter, we are perfecta ble -in the - Kingdom; and Joe l Lille ngre en on what we are promised in the Kingdom . The 74 acres of the Seattle Center offered rec reational and educational opportunities for yo ung and old alike. Dale Schutt er. TUCSON.
