Pesticide residuals of crop products are serious in China as well (Table 15). Pesticide residuals have been
detected in grains, rapes, vegetables, fruits, tea and medicinal herbs. A survey on vegetable and fruit markets of
China indicated that 41 in 81 vegetable samples were found to have pesticide residuals, of which pesticide
residuals in leek and cabbage exceeded 80% and 60% of the national standard.
