I: Background ■<br />
Manufacturer’s technical experts may have useful information and should be invited to examine the item<br />
in the presence of investigation team members. The manufacturer’s written comments should be requested<br />
for inclusion in the report. At no time should a manufacturer’s representative be given custody of an<br />
impounded item or left alone with impounded items.<br />
