Programme on Effective Communication Strategies Men and Women @ Work April 26-29, 2010 Effective communication with various stakeholders within and outside an organization is a key factor for organizational success. With the increasing workforce of women in various organizations, communciation in mixed-and same-gender teams has undergone a major change and many corporates feel the need to review and restrucure the existing formal and informal oral communication structures. The major challenge before us is to look for appropriate responses to the following questions: “Are there any differences in the communication patterns between men and women in organizations? Or is it a myth that needs to be broken? How can the differences, if any, be resolved? What will lead to a better workplace culture?” While all these questions do stimulate the thinking process and lead to a healthy discussion, there are no straight answers or clear-cut solutions. Managers, in search of answers to these questions, have joined us in the past to experience, create and develop communication strategies that can be suitably applied in differing/same gender groups. Programme on Effective Communication Strategies: Men and Women @ Work has been developed in response to the growing need in the business world to understand the communication patterns in mixed- and same-gender teams and develop strategies that enhance workplace culture and help sustain superior performance. Aimed at middle and senior managers - both men and women - the programme will help take a new look at the existing scenario and aid in developing a fresh perspective about self and the other gender. During the four days' programme participants would be encouraged to explore the mind-set of both genders, and identify and fortify communicative behaviour that supports a productive work environment. In the process, the participants will: ùGain knowledge of interaction patterns ùRefine and hone communication skills ùDevelop a new attitude For Managers and team leaders (men and women) who regularly interact with seniors/subordinates/peers/extenral customers of the opposite sex. Organizations wil benefit from sending a mixed group of participants. Discount Early Bird Discount: Nominations received with payments on or before April 5, 2010 will be entitled to an early bird discount of 10%. Early submission of fee and nomination does not, however, guarantee acceptance of application. Group Discount: Any organization sponsoring five or more participants to a programme will be entitled to a discount of 10% on total fee payable. Sponsors should pay the full fee along with nomination forms. Applicable discounts will be given on completion of programme. Organizations can avail themselves of both the discounts subject to a maximum overall discount of 15%.
