With the addition of <strong>ePOD</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>eServ</strong>, your Microsoft Dynamics® NAV system<br />

extends the reach of ERP to the final destination, enabling you to track deliveries,<br />

installation <strong>and</strong> service in real time with photographic <strong>and</strong> signature capture<br />

evidence. Once the delivery or service is complete, the mobile worker transmits the<br />

job details back to the office for same-day billing.<br />

CAPTURING PROOF OF DELIVERY<br />

The secure system runs on most GPRS-enabled mobile devices, with the graphical user<br />

interface configured to suit the specific requirements of the user. It provides interactive<br />

electronic job sheets with full customer <strong>and</strong> job details, which eliminates paper<br />

documentation <strong>and</strong> the need to rekey information that already exists in the ERP system.<br />

This maximises accuracy <strong>and</strong> optimises efficiency <strong>and</strong> productivity.<br />

Drivers receive their routes <strong>and</strong> schedules on the PDA <strong>and</strong> when they have delivered the<br />

goods, the customer signs the screen for proof of delivery. A photograph can be taken<br />

using the PDA’s digital camera to prove the goods have been delivered, are intact <strong>and</strong><br />

fit for purpose. All details are date <strong>and</strong> time stamped.<br />

CAPTURING PROOF OF SERVICE<br />

Installers <strong>and</strong> engineers use the system to confirm that they have completed the work.<br />

The customer can sign off the job on the device, which can trigger invoice processing<br />

<strong>and</strong> same day billing. The system will record<br />

any spares or additional parts using its barcode<br />

reading feature, assigning the items to the<br />

customer’s invoice details. All of this is enabled<br />

on screen with the push of a few buttons. Date<br />

<strong>and</strong> time-stamped photographs also show the<br />

installation or parts that have been replaced.<br />

Additionally, the inbuilt mobile device-tracking feature of the system shows up to<br />
