Board Certified <strong>Orthopaedic</strong> Surgeon<br />

Dr. <strong>Brokaw</strong>, a native of <strong>Indiana</strong>, graduated<br />

in 1982 from <strong>Indiana</strong> University<br />

(Bloomington) and the <strong>Indiana</strong><br />

University School of Medicine in 1987.<br />

He completed a residency in orthopaedic<br />

surgery at the <strong>Indiana</strong> University<br />

School of Medicine in 1992. While a chief<br />

resident, Dr. <strong>Brokaw</strong> received the<br />

Outstanding Senior Resident Research<br />

Award. His fellowship in orthopaedic<br />

trauma was at the prestigious<br />

Harborview Medical Center in Seattle,<br />

Washington.<br />

He has been an attending orthopaedic<br />

traumatologist with OrthoIndy at<br />

Methodist <strong>Hospital</strong> for almost two<br />

decades.<br />

Dr. <strong>Brokaw</strong> is a faculty attending<br />

for the OrthoIndy Trauma<br />

Fellowship Program and a<br />

clinical assistant professor for<br />

the Department of <strong>Orthopaedic</strong><br />

Surgery at <strong>Indiana</strong><br />

University. He was a<br />

previous Clinical Assistant<br />

Professor for the<br />

Department of <strong>Orthopaedic</strong>s<br />

at Harborview<br />

Medical Center<br />

at the University<br />

of Washington,<br />

Seattle. He is a<br />

medical officer for<br />

the Urban Search<br />

and Rescue Team<br />

in the Division of<br />

Homeland Security.
