Dr. <strong>Kollias</strong> graduated cum laude from Butler University<br />
in <strong>Indiana</strong>polis in 1985, where he made the first-team<br />
NCAA/ GTE Academic All America Football Team as a<br />
defensive end. He won the Hilton U. Brown Award for<br />
Outstanding Student Athlete. Dr. <strong>Kollias</strong> attended the<br />
University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine in<br />
Chicago, Illinois and graduated in 1989. He completed<br />
his internship and residency in <strong>Orthopaedic</strong> Surgery<br />
at <strong>Indiana</strong> University Medical Center in <strong>Indiana</strong>polis<br />
in 1994 and a fellowship in Shoulder, Sports Medicine<br />
and Arthroscopy at Southern California <strong>Orthopaedic</strong><br />
Institute in Van Nuys, California in 1995.<br />
Dr. <strong>Kollias</strong> is currently<br />
team physician for Butler<br />
University, Marian<br />
University, Zionsville<br />
High School and<br />
the <strong>Indiana</strong> Fever. He<br />
has provided sports<br />
medicine coverage in<br />
<strong>Indiana</strong>polis for many<br />
local and international<br />
events. He<br />
has received The<br />
Top Doctors Award<br />
for sports medicine<br />
from <strong>Indiana</strong>polis<br />
Monthly.<br />
He specializes in<br />
treating shoulder<br />
problems and<br />
arthroscopic<br />
reconstruction<br />
surgery of<br />

the shoulder and knee. He has lectured and instructed<br />
many courses in arthroscopic surgery. He reviews<br />
research publications for the American Journal of<br />
Sports Medicine. He has been published in numerous<br />
publications in Sports Medicine and <strong>Orthopaedic</strong><br />
Literature. Dr. <strong>Kollias</strong> is a member of the American<br />
<strong>Orthopaedic</strong> Society for Sports Medicine, American<br />
Academy of <strong>Orthopaedic</strong> Surgeons and the Arthroscopy<br />
Association of North America. He also serves as<br />
a delegate for the American <strong>Orthopaedic</strong> Society for<br />
Sports Medicine.<br />
