What’s New
Alemlube Flow Meters
Alemlube has been selling flow meters
for many years as part of its General
Range of products. The company has
now stepped into the high-end flow meter
market with a new range of Oval Gear
Flow Meters.
The range is split into six different Series’,
each specified for a particular application
and/or market segment:

S-Series; Stainless Steel Electronic

The large range covers port sizes from
1/8” through to 4” with flow rates from as
low as 0.5 L/hr right up to 2500 L/min.

is available including meter-mounted
displays (electronic and mechanical),
remote mount displays, strainers and
air eliminators.
NMI approvals are also available for
A-, AM-, S- and P-Series meters.
The entire range is made in Australia and
each meter is tested and provided with a
calibration certificate.
All meters are competitively priced
and stock of selected meters is held in
Alemlube branch warehouses around
Australia and in New Zealand, available

Ray Coid
WA Branch Manager
Ray joined Alemlube back in January
1998 at a time when Alemlube was
still Alemite Lubrequip.
A successful Branch Manager with one
of the automotive parts providers in
Sydney’s outer west Ray was looking
for a new challenge, he got involved in
the field of lubrication equipment and it
didn’t take long for him made his mark
at Alemlube.
Driven to succeed, passionate, highly
capable and always up for a laugh and
a beer Ray got the job done and in
2004 Ray and his family made the move
across to Perth to set up Alemlube’s
Perth based WA operation.
Under Ray’s leadership and guidance
the branch grew quickly and today the
WA Branch provides a well rounded
range of products and services to a
wide range of the states mining, oil &
gas, agriculture, civil engineering and
transport concerns.
Ray’s interests include:
Getting out on the boat, enjoying a few
lagers and landing the biggest sized
bream or jewie caught on the day.
He also enjoys spending time on the
family farm just east of Perth with his
wife Tracy and four daughters Zoe,
Kirsty, Nikki and Sophie.
Positive, likeable, energetic and always
up for a laugh whether through work or
after hours Ray’s a great bloke to know
and have in your life.
David Vivian, Alemlube BDM in South
Australia was asked if he wanted to quote
for the supply and installation of workshop
equipment and he jumped at the chance.
David was advised that the workshop was
a new training facility, set up in the Anangu
Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara (APY) lands;
1,400km from Adelaide, just short of the
NT /SA border 1 ½ hour West off the
Stuart Hwy basically accessible only by
4WD and a 10 hour round trip from Alice
Springs. “No worries”, he replied. Then the
worries started.
Having to cart everything you might
possibly need for a week to this far away
land required a troop carrier 4WD loaded
down to the springs. All the tools, pipework,
fittings and equipment had been forwarded
the week before, but bread, water, meat,
milk; in fact the contents of a small corner
store was loaded up and along with Boyd
Johnston (our workshop building guru from
NSW). DV set off on his big adventure.
Installing an air system and compressor,
hose reels, a 4 post hoist, a tyre changer
and a wheel balancer is a challenge in
itself, but without a Bunning’s around the
corner, no phones and no emails, one has
to be prepared for eventualities including
(apparently) being serenaded by flocks of
wild donkeys at night. All went well and
there were many tales, tall and true, told
to anyone who would listen.

On the 1st of August earlier this year
Andrew Tait joined us in the newly
created role of Vehicle Hoist Product
Manager – Australia & New Zealand.
Andrew has a wealth of experience
in the automotive industry including
Alemlube was selected to undertake
this job by Jim from the Education Dept
because he found that we were the only
SA based lubrication equipment company
that could supply, install and commission
all of this equipment rather than trying to
negotiate with a group of companies and
trying to co-ordinate them to be at the right
place at the right time. Jim acknowledged
that dealing with Alemlube as a “one stop
shop” took a lot of the headaches out of
this project. This means that Alemlube
can handle the entire project, from initial
phone call through to job completion -
no matter what or where.
David admitted afterwards that he would
study a map more closely before next
signing on the dotted line. No donkeys
were injured during the project.

The PB-20 2’’ de-watering underground
coal mine diaphragm pump is
constructed with a Polypropylene fluid
chamber & Geolast ® diaphragms,
stainless steel flanges and engineered
for maximum fluid and chemical
compatibility. Ideal for use in
underground coal mines the PB-20 is
heavy duty, stall free, freeze free and
incorporates a rugged valve system
allowing operation under a variety of
conditions ranging from clean fluids to
slurries and solids up to 1/4’’.
Bolted design ensures leak-free
operation and ease of maintenance
when required. Supplied inclusive of
a muffler, the PB-20 2’’ underground
coal mine diaphragm pump produces
a low noise level of 78 dBA and has a
maximum flow rate of 680 L/min.
The new EL Series air operated double
diaphragm pump range is ideal for the
dispensing and evacuation of engine oils,
hydraulic oils, waste oils, diesel fuels,
chemical liquids and even industrial
sludge and liquids containing a relatively
high amount of grit and solid content.
The pumps are manufactured with
aluminium bodies, UPE diaphragms and
Teflon ball valves, and being positive
displacement type pumps, operation
is efficient and extremely reliable.
Requiring no ongoing precision
adjustments after installation and with
no close fittings to be monitored,
Alemlube’s new EL Series air operated
double diaphragm pumps are quickly
and easily as well as inexpensively
maintained.
The Alemlube L40040PA diesel fuel
storage & dispensing kit with lockable lid
consists of a heavy duty locally designed
and manufactured polyethylene 400 litre
tank and a Piusi 52000A dispensing kit.
The dispensing kit, manufactured in Italy,
includes a 12V diesel fuel pump with
4 metres of antistatic fuel delivery hose,
2 metres of battery cable with clips,
a stainless steel & brass fuel inlet filter
and an automatic shut off nozzle.
The tank’s lockable lid with 4-point
locking system ensures pump, nozzle
and stored fuel security as well
as protection from foreign particle
contamination and the elements.
Designed to house the pump in a
recessed position ultimately generating
a lower centre of gravity, the tank
assumes a greater degree of strength,
stability and original shape retention
thereby ensuring long and trouble
free operation.

the South Pacific in 1988 Peter Cooper
started Express Diesel Service Ltd
from a bedroom in his family home
in South Auckland.
The business was founded on the

son Mark Cooper and it has grown to
