TISSOCYL COD
Ecological bleaching compound for cotton and mixtures
Chemical composition
combination of natural microparticles and fatty alcohol ethoxylates
Characteristics
Appearance:
white, viscous liquid
Ionicity:
non-ionic / anionic
Solubility/Emulsifiability: readily soluble in cold water
pH-value original: around 6.0
Resistance:
resistant to acids and alkalis in usual concentrations as well as to
hard water; compatible with anionic and non-ionic products
Storage:
at least 12 months if properly stored
Stability to frost:
not sensitive to frost;
product solidifies at temperatures below 0°C but is applicable again
after thawing and thorough stirring
Application properties
• ecological and sustainable bleaching compound
• low COD and BOD values
• well-balanced stabilizing of discontinuous hydrogen peroxide bleaching processes
• very high degree of whiteness
• very low foaming, suitable for jets and continuous systems with high liquor turbulences
• oil adsorbing effects caused by natural microparticles
• excellent emulsifying of mineral and silicone oils
• acts as crease inhibitor, offers a smooth and soft touch of goods
• dosable, not gelling, thixotropic
• low risk of getting precipitation when applied in autoclaves
• cleaning effects in pre-treatment units
• water hazard class 1 (German regulation)
Application fields
TISSOCYL COD is a highly efficient compound for the discontinuous hydrogen peroxide bleaching of
cotton and mixtures. An optimal degree of whiteness is reached because the bleaching process is
mild and balanced well.
The ecological bleaching compound offers a good penetration of cotton and displays an excellent
dispersing and emulsifying behavior of native impurities, paraffins, waxes and oils as well.
The above results have been obtained from trials in our laboratory and plant. In the light
of changing conditions they can only serve as a guide and are therefore offered without
TISSOCYL COD
TISSOCYL COD is suitable as an ecological detergent for synthetic fibers and their mixtures with
elastane too. The use of special microparticles results in an excellent emulsifying of mineral and
silicone oils.
TISSOCYL COD reliably prevents silicone and oil separations on the machinery as well as
partial reattachment of detached silicones on the goods.
TISSOCYL COD can be used in machines with high liquor turbulences such as jet dyeing
machines, sieve drum washing machines etc. without problems.
The low COD value of TISSOCYL COD reduces the waste water load.
Guidelines for application
TISSOCYL COD is readily soluble in cold water.
We recommend to clean the machine before the first use with 3 - 5 g/l TISSOCYL COD at
70 - 80°C because TISSOCYL COD is able to remove oily impurities from the units.
Suggested quantities to be applied:
Bleaching of cotton:
3.0 - 5.0 g/l TISSOCYL COD
8.0 - 10.0 ml/l H2O2 35%
2.5 - 3.5 ml/l NaOH 50%
Bleaching conditions depending on the degree of whiteness:
30 - 60 min at 95°C or 10 -20 min 115°C.
- half-white RFD: hot rinsing, removal of residual peroxide with REDUZOL RED, dyeing
- full-white: including optical brightener, hot and cold rinsing/neutralization, softening
The above results have been obtained from trials in our laboratory and plant. In the light
of changing conditions they can only serve as a guide and are therefore offered without
obligation. We ask you to observe the possible rights of third parties.
