<str<strong>on</strong>g>The</str<strong>on</strong>g> Mida <str<strong>on</strong>g>line</str<strong>on</strong>g> offers a wide range of touch probes with<br />
various sizes and overtravels to meet any measuring and<br />
checking requirements.<br />
<str<strong>on</strong>g>The</str<strong>on</strong>g> probes are available in two versi<strong>on</strong>s: "S" (Shielded)<br />
<str<strong>on</strong>g>for</str<strong>on</strong>g> applicati<strong>on</strong>s requiring excepti<strong>on</strong>al resistance to chips<br />
and shavings, and "G" (double Gasket) <str<strong>on</strong>g>for</str<strong>on</strong>g> applicati<strong>on</strong>s<br />
which call <str<strong>on</strong>g>for</str<strong>on</strong>g> absolute resistance to coolants.<br />
Mida probes fall into two further categories:<br />

CONTACTLESS TOOL CHECK SYSTEMS: Mida Laser<br />
<str<strong>on</strong>g>The</str<strong>on</strong>g> Mida Laser c<strong>on</strong>tactless measuring system allows<br />
very rapid <str<strong>on</strong>g>checks</str<strong>on</strong>g> and measurements to be per<str<strong>on</strong>g>for</str<strong>on</strong>g>med<br />
<strong>on</strong> <strong>tools</strong>, minimising <strong>machine</strong> down times and allowing<br />
producti<strong>on</strong> times to be optimised.<br />
Unlike touch probes, Mida Laser probes allow complex<br />
measurements <strong>on</strong> moving <strong>tools</strong> (high speed) without<br />
making any c<strong>on</strong>tact. This guarantees a significant<br />
reducti<strong>on</strong> in the time required <str<strong>on</strong>g>for</str<strong>on</strong>g> operati<strong>on</strong>s.<br />
<str<strong>on</strong>g>The</str<strong>on</strong>g> system is based <strong>on</strong> a high precisi<strong>on</strong> laser beam and<br />
photodiode. <str<strong>on</strong>g>The</str<strong>on</strong>g> signals generated by the system, after<br />
the Laser beam is interrupted, are used by the <strong>machine</strong><br />
CNC to per<str<strong>on</strong>g>for</str<strong>on</strong>g>m the necessary measuring operati<strong>on</strong>s.<br />
<str<strong>on</strong>g>The</str<strong>on</strong>g> system is available in two versi<strong>on</strong>s:<br />
• Modular: the emitter and receiver are separate so that<br />
they can be mounted in any area of the <strong>machine</strong><br />
• Stand al<strong>on</strong>e: the emitter and receiver are mounted<br />
<strong>on</strong> a dedicated support.<br />
