<strong>The</strong> probe is connected to the interface unit directly by
a cable. <strong>The</strong> unit converts the signal generated by the
Mida probe into a relay-type signal that the machine
tool CNC can process.
Transmission via cable is the system typically used in
applications on grinding or sharpening machines, <strong>for</strong> axial
part positioning or angling and part profile <strong>checks</strong>.

TOOL SETTING ARMS: Mida Set - Mida Tool Eye
<strong>Marposs</strong> have developed a <strong>line</strong> of high precision arms
<strong>for</strong> tool qualification and checking on a lathe, available
in two different ranges:
• Mida SET is the solution <strong>for</strong> applications where the
arm has to be removed <strong>from</strong> the machining area when
tool pre-setting has been <strong>complete</strong>d.
• Mida Tool Eye is the solution permanently mounted
in the machine, which can be moved manually,
electrically or hydraulically.

Mida probing software allows the machine tool to move
the touch probe or the tool to be measured in order to
take the user's measurements and per<strong>for</strong>m the <strong>checks</strong>
needed by means of simple instructions to the CNC.

• centring and part measurement with a touch probe
• touch tool preset and integrity
