5.1 Assistance by parents’ education level<br />

It is not unreasonable to assume that parents’ interest in, <strong>and</strong> ability to help<br />

with, their children’s schoolwork varies with the educational level of the<br />

parents. We therefore now consider how the incidence of help with<br />

schoolwork correlates with parental education level.<br />
