In modern Sapporo, Japan’s fifth largest city
synonymous with beer, visit the renowned
Sapporo Beer Factory and Shiroi Koibito
Chocolate Park.
Visit Otaru, a port city which gently evokes a
nostalgic mood with its historical buildings,
glassworks shops, cafes and restaurants along its
famous canal.
At Lake Toya and ascend by ropeway to the
summit of Mount Usu, an active volcano. Later,
relax in the onsen waters of Jozankei and
Noboribetsu, two of Hokkaido's most prominent
hot spring resorts.
In Hakodate, a harbour city at Hokkaido’s
southern tip, marvel at spectacular night views
from Mount Hakodate and savour fresh seafood
at its morning market.

Hakodate City Tour
• Entrance to Goryokaku Park, one of Hokkaido’s most
popular spots for cherry blossom viewing during the
season. See the ruins of Fort Goryokaku, Japan’s first
western style fortress, and go up the observation deck
of Goryokaku Tower for panoramic views.
• Take a cable car to the peak of Mount Hakodate. Enjoy
outstanding views of the city’s night lights, considered
one of the world’s finest.
DAY 03 Hakodate/ Lake Toya

• Walking tour of the bustling Hakodate Morning
Market. See how the locals bargain and be astounded
at the crab butchery where the sea dweller are ripped
limb by limb. Sample some fresh crab and various types
of fresh seafood such as raw sea urchin or grilled crab.
• Photo stop at the Hakodate Trappist Convent –
Japan’s first monastery founded by French nuns over a
century ago.
• Walking tour of the restored Kanemori Red Brick
Warehouses which comprise of restaurants, beer halls,
shops and art museums along a waterfront.
• Relax in a steaming onsen and rest your weary
muscles before dinner.
DAY 04 Lake Toya/ Noboribetsu
(Breakfast/ Lunch/ Dinner)
Lake Toya Tour
• Glide to the summit of Mount Usu (an active volcano)
on the Usuzan Ropeway. From its observation decks,
enjoy splendid views of Lake Toya, the nearby Mount
Showa Shinzan and Mount Usu’s crater which still smokes
to this day.
• Entrance to the Toyako Volcano Museum which
focuses on the 1977 and 2000 eruptions of Mount Usu.
Witness how a volcano erupts through interactive
exhibits.
• Visit the Showa Shinzan Bear Park, home to around
100 bears.
• Relax in a steaming onsen before dinner.
DAY 05 Noboribetsu/ Jyozankei
(Breakfast/ Lunch/ Dinner)
Noboribetsu Tour
• Photo stop at the spectacular Hell Valley, where the
earth is alive with hot steam vents, sulphurous streams
and other volcanic activity.
• Entrance to the Noboribetsu Date Jidaimura theme
park and step back in time to the glory days of the Edo
Period. Stroll amid a traditional Japanese village, watch
ninjas in action, local merchants hawking their wares
and courtesans performing. You can also don a kimono,
samurai or ninja outfit and have your photo taken (for a fee).
• Relax in a steaming onsen before dinner.
DAY 06 Jyozankei/ Otaru/ Sapporo
(Breakfast/ Lunch/ Dinner)
Otaru City Tour
• Entrance to the Kitaichi Glass Emporium where you
can see glass blowers at work.
• Entrance to the Otaru Music Box Museum and
showroom with many pretty and intricate music boxes
on display. An ideal place to pick up a souvenir for your
loved ones!
• Walking tour of the beautifully restored Otaru Canal,
with many historic stone warehouses transformed into
shops and cafes. Meet various artists who will present
their works to passing tourists in hope that one may catch
your fancy.
• Enjoy specially brewed coffee at Otaru Coffee House
and take home your cup as a souvenir!

Sapporo City Tour
• Entrance and guided tour of a local beer factory
(Asahi or Sapporo) which exhibits the history and
science of making Sapporo beer. Sample some local
beer and snacks.
• Walking tour of the extensive Odori Park, a
pleasant green space during the warmer months and
cherry blossom viewing spot.
• Drive pass the Clock Tower, symbol of Sapporo.
DAY 07 Sapporo/ Haneda/ Narita

• Morning walking tour of Nijo Market where locals
and tourists shop for fresh local produce and seafood.
Look out for a “stand-up” sushi and scallop restaurant
with its amiable chef.
• Entrance to the Shiroi Koibito Chocolate Park
housing shops, a cafe and a chocolate factory. See
how chocolate cookies are made, enjoy chocolate
related exhibits and purchase famous Shiroi Koibito
cookies. Take home Hokkaido’s Famous Shiroikoibito
Chocolate, with compliments from Reliance.
• Your lunch specially features Hokkaido King Crabs.
• Spend time at Tanukkikoji Arcade, Sapporo’s most
