The Teays Valley Local Board of Education met in regular session on Monday, June 27, 2011, at 6:30 

p.m. in the high school community room. The following board members were present:

• North Court Family Dentistry donated $100.00 to the girls soccer support fund.

• The Scioto PTO donated $600.00 to the library for the author book sale. 

• Richard Smith of Smith Excavating and Septic Service donated $100.00 to the West Middle School 

Bullying Project. 

• The Citizens Bank donated $100.00 to the girls soccer support fund. 

• Kim Ranney Photography donated $432.00 to the middle school athletic fund. 

• The Teays Valley Athletic Boosters donated $1,824.00 to the football support fund.

Final FY11 Final Amended Certificate & Appropriations 


It was moved by Mr. Litzinger and seconded by Mr. Archer to approve the Final 2010-2011 Amended 

Official Certificate of Revenue and Permanent Appropriation measure.

FY12 Temporary Appropriations 


It was moved by Mrs. Perrill and seconded by Mr. Litzinger to approve a temporary appropriation 

measure for FY12 to become effective July 1, 2011, proportionate to 25% of the current 

appropriations. This temporary appropriation measure will provide spending authority until a new 

appropriation measure is adopted at the regular meeting of the Board in July.

Contract for Media Center Services


It was moved by Mrs. Perrill and seconded by Mr. McGowan to enter into a contract with the 

Pickaway County Educational Service Center to provide media services and postage one way for 

education materials for the 2011-2012 school year. Payments based on $5.00 per title will be paid 

December 16, 2011, March 16, 2012, and June 15, 2012.

Membership in the Ohio High School Athletic Association 


It was moved by Mr. Litzinger and seconded by Mr. McGowan to authorize continued membership in 

the Ohio High School Athletic Association for grades 7-12 during the 2011-2012 school year.

State and Federal Projects 


It was moved by Mr. McGowan and seconded by Mrs. Perrill to approve Kyle Wolfe, Assistant 

Superintendent, to submit the appropriate applications to continue Teays Valley's participation in the 

following state and federal projects for the 2011-2012 school year: 

• Title I 

• Title II A 

• Special Education, Part B-IDEA 

• Early Childhood Special Education 

• Education Jobs Fund 

• Agriculture Education Fifth Quarter

Contract with Circleville Physical Therapy and Sports Rehab, Inc. 


It was moved by Mrs. Perrill and seconded by Mr. Litzinger to enter into a contract with Circleville 

Physical Therapy and Sports Rehab, Inc. for services during the time period of September 2011 

through August 2012 as arranged by the Special Needs Coordinator. Physical Therapy services shall 

be reimbursed at the rate of $52.50 per documented session . Sessions typically vary in time from 

30-60 minutes per student including documentation time and possible consultation with teacher, 

parent, etc.

the salary schedule to the appropriate level effective with the first semester of the 2011-2012 school

• Rebecca Southward to the Masters level.

Colburn effective with the 2011-2012 school year. Mark will be initially assigned as a High School 

Math teacher and placed on the salary schedule at the Bachelors level with one year of experience.

on the salary schedule.

years of experience on the salary schedule.

Retirement of Mary Lombardo 

RESOLUTION NO. 127-11 

It was moved by Mr. McGowan and seconded by Mr. Litzinger to acknowledge the retirement of Mary 

Lombardo, Secretary at West Middle School, effective July 31, 2011. Mary has been employed with 

the district for 27 years.
