This bibliography makes no claim <strong>to</strong> be comprehensive, but is intended as an aid for researchers who are seeking an overview <strong>of</strong> sources <strong>of</strong> information. The<br />

publications listed can be seen at various reposi<strong>to</strong>ries in <strong>Derbyshire</strong>, but no single reposi<strong>to</strong>ry will possess them all. The reposi<strong>to</strong>ries used so far for compiling<br />

this bibliography are Matlock Local Studies Library (01283 585579), Swadlincote Local Studies Library (01283 217701) and the District Council’s own<br />

collection (contact Philip Heath 01283 595936). Many <strong>of</strong> the books and items listed may also be found at the Derby Local Studies Library on Irongate (01332<br />

255393). It would be wise <strong>to</strong> check availability before making a long journey <strong>to</strong> any <strong>of</strong> these places.<br />
