MISSION:
Tau Sigma is an academic honor society designed specifically to “recognize
and promote the academic excellence and involvement of transfer students.”

MEMBERSHIP CRITERIA:
••
Must transfer to JSU from another academic institution with at least one full year of academic credits satisfied at the
prior institution(s).
••
Membership shall be based upon superior academic achievement during your “first term” at JSU.
••
Must be registered at JSU as a full-time student (12 or more hours) with a declared major.
••
Must have a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on 4.0 scale for membership.
••
Must complete the required application and pay the ONE TIME membership fee of $45 on time.
••
Only invited to join Tau Sigma one time (not eligible to join at a later date).
