ROBIN MANUSCRIPT REVIEW HISTORY
REVIEWS (ROUND 3)
Editor Decision Letter
Congratulations on an excellent final version of your manuscript. The associate editor and I both
find this to be an excellent final revision. Thank you. Hence, this note is to let you know that
your paper is now officially accepted for publication, and to thank you for your responsiveness
and care in bringing your article to this point.
There is still work to be done, however. Please make sure you read and carefully follow the
instructions at http://ejcr.org/accepted.htm. These details are the authors' responsibility. Please
double check the "Common Mistakes" page carefully before submitting your materials.
It's very important that you craft a superb abstract that summarizes your research properly. In
fact, we find this so important that we are mentioning it in both conditional acceptance and
acceptance letters. Please include (in fewer than 150 words): 1) Motivation/Problem (what gap
does your research fill?); 2) Approach/Methods; 3) Results/Findings; and 4) Implications and
Conclusions. Use keywords within your abstract (very important for indexing and abstracting).
Try not to use "we" or expressions such as "we found that consumers..." (leave off "we found
that").
In crafting your abstract, please recognize that JCR is an interdisciplinary journal and we aspire
to being read and cited by a wide variety of disciplines. Please include terms and descriptions
that will allow your article to be found by scholars likely to be interested in your theories, your
substantive findings as well as (if appropriate) your methods. For instance, a paper investigating
processing style by comparing adults across the age span should reference both the relevant
theories of processing and the operationalization through age, such that scholars with either
interest would be drawn to the work. More generally, please also make the writing in your
abstract accessible, so that the importance of your paper will be transparent to a wide variety of
scholars who may see your abstract in online journal databases. Please also note that titles, like
abstracts, are an important mechanism for drawing in your readers. This is a good (well, one last
good) opportunity to consider your paper's title and change it if you feel that a different title
would do a better job of drawing a wide variety of potential readers to your paper. Please keep
your title concise and clear. Many titles can be shortened.
Do not include any citations, tables, figures, or any information in your abstract that is not in
your article. There should be no footnotes or endnotes anywhere in the document.
Please submit your final materials as soon as possible, but no later than 10 days after receipt of
this letter. The final submission page link is in the system where you log in as an author
(http://www.jcr-admin.org/authorlogin.php). We hope to get your article officially published
online very soon, so please make sure to get your materials in as soon as you can. Again, please
be sure to follow the instructions provided very carefully. This is a requirement for publication
(we will send your paper back if you have not followed the instructions).
Authors may also provide a separate document that contains any stimuli or additional
information you would like readers to see, and this information will appear as an attachment in
the web-only version of JCR (referenced in the author note of the hard copy). These e-only
article enhancements can include all of the additional color figures and other images that are not
appropriate for the hard copy version because of space constraints. Please be sure to format your
online supplement in the same manner as a manuscript (include title, author names, and a brief
description of what readers will see).
Mary-Ann Twist (JCR's managing editor) will prepare a press release for your article. It will be
posted in the 'Forthcoming Articles' and 'In the News' sections of our website at http://ejcr.org.
The press release will also be sent to our press list and the contacts you will provide, and posted
on EurekAlert. If you have any questions about our publicity program (JCR Authors In the
News), please contact Mary-Ann (at jcr@bus.wisc.edu).
We appreciate your cooperation throughout the process. As always, please send any questions or
concerns to jcr@bus.wisc.edu.
