CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATION
Incorporation of tithonia base compost fertilizer at 1kg and 2kg rates per pot, orgarnomineral
fertilizer at 250g and 500g rates per pot have beneficial effects on plant growth, biomass yield
and dry matter yield. The increase was more pronounced at 2kg rate of tithonia and 500g
organomineral fertilizer which was not significantly different from each other with respect to the
biomass yield. The effect was less marked with 1kg and 250g of tithonia and organomineral
fertilizer respectively.
Application of organomineral fertilizer at 250g/pot did not differ significantly from those of
500g/pot with respect to dry matter yield. Therefore 250g/pot is considered as the optimum rate
for mint production in pot. However, this application is significantly better than application of
tithonia compost at 2kg/pot. Such rate of application is therefore recommended for dry matter
yield of mint in pot.
