<strong>Salient</strong> <strong>features</strong> <strong>of</strong> the scheme for booking <strong>of</strong> <strong>RTSA</strong>S<br />

• Such <strong>RTSA</strong>s as are desirous <strong>of</strong> transacting through IRCTC should write to IRCTC along with Zonal<br />

Railways letter already available with <strong>RTSA</strong>'s confirming that the party is an authorized <strong>RTSA</strong>. After<br />

confirming that the party is an authorized <strong>RTSA</strong>, IRCTC may enter into a formal agreement with the<br />

<strong>RTSA</strong>. The agreement will include acceptance <strong>of</strong> the terms conditions for using IRCTC's website for<br />

booking tickets. <strong>RTSA</strong>s will pay a onetime fee <strong>of</strong> Rs. 20,000/-(only through demand draft in favour <strong>of</strong><br />

IRCTC Payable at New Delhi only) to IRCTC <strong>of</strong> which Rs. 10,000/- will be refundable if <strong>RTSA</strong> voluntarily<br />

withdraws from the arrangement with IRCTC. Annual renewal charges for the scheme will be Rs. 5,000/-.<br />

• All such <strong>RTSA</strong>s will be required to purchase a class 3 personal digital certificate from any Indian<br />

Certifying Authority for their authorized user (only one authorized user will be permitted), the details <strong>of</strong><br />

which will be provided by them to IRCTC.<br />

• When an <strong>RTSA</strong> user logs in, IRCTC application will authenticate the digital certificate, and if<br />

authenticated, will allow him to book without applying any restriction on the number <strong>of</strong> tickets to be<br />

• The <strong>RTSA</strong> user will book the ticket as per the normal flow, and will give the shipping address desired by<br />

the end customer (one <strong>of</strong> the passengers on the ticket) in case <strong>of</strong> I-ticket or the identity card details <strong>of</strong><br />

any traveler in case <strong>of</strong> E-ticket. I ticket will be delivered to the delivery address desired by the customer<br />

and given by the <strong>RTSA</strong> while booking <strong>of</strong> the ticket. <strong>RTSA</strong> should issue receipt for money taken by him<br />

from customer on his own printed stationery. This receipt should be preserved by the customer to claim<br />

refund from <strong>RTSA</strong>, if it becomes necessary.<br />

• Payment by the Agent to IRCTC for booking tickets on line will be made online through direct debit using<br />

Internet Banking , cash cards and payment gateway for credit cards/debit cards options .Agents are<br />

permitted to book tickets through any credit card issued by MASTER/VISA/AMEX. Agents to ensure that<br />

they are using valid and correct credit cards and IRCTC shall not be responsible for any dispute or action<br />

taken by any bank in this regard. Agents in their own interest to check with their issuing bank that they<br />

are using valid credit card. In case <strong>of</strong> any chargeback, apart from any other action, their user-id shall be<br />

deactivated.<br />

• For tickets cancelled through the counters, the refunds will be credited back to the account used for<br />

online booking. The <strong>RTSA</strong> will be responsible for refunds to customers. The cancellation ticket issued to<br />

the passenger from counter shall be used by the passenger to claim refund from <strong>RTSA</strong>. In case <strong>of</strong><br />

proved misconduct in this regard, the minimum punishment will be termination <strong>of</strong> his authorization for<br />

Internet booking.<br />

• For cases where the tickets were surrendered at stations after the cancellation timings and TDR<br />

obtained, the users will have to apply to IRCTC along with Ticket Deposit Receipt (TDR).IRCTC in turn<br />

will take up the matter with the Zonal Railways concerned.<br />

• On expiry <strong>of</strong> the validity <strong>of</strong> recognition <strong>of</strong> <strong>RTSA</strong>'s by Railways, the access provided to such <strong>RTSA</strong>s<br />

would be deactivated by IRCTC unless renewed by Railways and conveyed to IRCTC with the annual<br />

renewal charges for the scheme <strong>of</strong> Rs. 5,000/-. In case <strong>of</strong> change <strong>of</strong> policy IRCTC reserves the right to<br />

charge extra fee as per the changed scenario or right to refuse extension.<br />

• If <strong>RTSA</strong> Agent is found indulged in any fraudulent activity then the action will be taken as per the do’s &<br />

don’t <strong>of</strong> IRCTC which are mentioned on website (www.irctc.co.in).<br />

• IRCTC service charges for I-tickets booked by <strong>RTSA</strong>’s shall be the same as for other customers. IRCTC<br />

service charges for e-tickets booked by the <strong>RTSA</strong>’s shall be as follows:<br />

For: SL and 2S --->Rs. 10/-<br />

For: FC, 3A, 2A, 1A, CC, EC --->Rs. 20/-.<br />

• <strong>RTSA</strong>’s shall realize following amounts from passengers in addition to IRCTC’s service charge:<br />

i. In case <strong>of</strong> Second / Sleeper Class: Rs. 10/- per ticket.<br />

ii. In case <strong>of</strong> other than Sleeper Class: Rs. 20/- per ticket.


• [B entities <strong>RTSA</strong>'s shall not be eligible for membership <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Scheme</strong> for Frequent Travelers. Individual<br />

members, <strong>of</strong> the scheme shall not be able to accrue any reward points if they purchase tickets thru<br />

<strong>RTSA</strong>s.<br />
