On the whole, 3445 (90 per cent) of the total 3829 sanctioned cases received full<br />
disbursement <strong>and</strong> another 139 (3.55 per cent) received 90-99 per cent of the sanctioned<br />
amount. 63 applicants accounting <strong>for</strong> 1.65 per cent of the 3829 sanctioned cases<br />
received less than 50 per cent of the sanctioned loan amount.<br />
5.3. Average Amount sanctioned <strong>and</strong> Disbursed per Beneficiary<br />
A total of 1277 cases are sanctioned under <strong>PMRY</strong> <strong>for</strong> financial assistance<br />
between 1998/99 <strong>and</strong> 2000/01 in Kolar district. Of these, loans are disbursed to 1266<br />
beneficiaries (Table 5.2). The average amount sanctioned ranged from Rs. 48,749 per<br />
case <strong>for</strong> business to Rs. 62,129 <strong>for</strong> service enterprise with an over all average of Rs.<br />
51,010 per sanctioned case. Year wise details are provided in Annexure Tables 5.2a,<br />
5.2b, 5.2c. The average amount disbursed per beneficiary is Rs. 48,474 <strong>and</strong> it ranged<br />
between Rs. 46,308 <strong>for</strong> business activity <strong>and</strong> Rs. 57,155 <strong>for</strong> service ventures. It is<br />
observed that 575 (45 per cent), 286 (23 per cent) <strong>and</strong> 405 (32 per cent) of the total<br />
cases received loan amount in one, two <strong>and</strong> more than two installments, respectively.<br />
