The <strong>Israel</strong> Export & International Cooperation Institute (IEICI)<br />
The <strong>Israel</strong> Export & International Cooperation Institute, supported by member firms, private sector bodies<br />
and the government of <strong>Israel</strong>, advances business relationships between <strong>Israel</strong>i exporters and overseas<br />
businesses and organizations. By providing a wide range of export-oriented services to <strong>Israel</strong>i<br />
companies and complementary services to the international business community, the Institute helps build<br />
successful joint ventures, strategic alliances and trade partnerships.<br />
The IEICI’s Life Science Department is the leader in business matching between the more than 1,200<br />
companies in the <strong>Israel</strong>i life science industry and worldwide business partners at all levels. It has a<br />
proven ability to identify and match suitable potential business partners, organize one-on-one<br />
business meetings, and is a focal point for contacts with the government as well as with industry.<br />
The IEICI is the major organizer of <strong>Israel</strong>i company participation at Medica 2010.<br />

Foreign Trade Administration<br />
Ministry of Industry, Trade and Labor<br />
The Foreign Trade Administration of the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Labor manages and directs the<br />
State of <strong>Israel</strong>’s international trade policy. The Administration's main fields of activity include activities for<br />
the promotion of international trade and exports, negotiating and maintaining trade agreements for<br />
improving <strong>Israel</strong>’s trade network, attracting and encouraging foreign investments, and creating strategic<br />
alliances with foreign companies. In addition to its activities in <strong>Israel</strong>, the Administration operates a<br />
network of economic representatives, who act as the ministry’s operational arm in markets abroad.<br />
Objectives:<br />
• Assisting <strong>Israel</strong>i industry in deepening its activities in existing markets and penetrating new markets.<br />
• Accompanying and supporting individual exporters in their marketing activity abroad.<br />
• Negotiating and implementing international trade agreements, and maintaining existing agreements.<br />
• Promoting investments and strategic partnerships.<br />
• Promoting the image of the <strong>Israel</strong>i industry and economy abroad.<br />
