When the two companies merged in 2002, we combined our product lines to<br />

product class. Each model of the L_900 <strong>pumps</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>compressors</strong> is equipped<br />

with an industry proven polyisoprene-lined pump casing to protect the pump<br />

internals against corrosion <strong>and</strong> erosion. The unique inlet <strong>and</strong> discharge configuration<br />

of each machine offers flexibility in piping <strong>and</strong> the top discharge<br />

capability of the 2BE3 models eliminates the need for a trench <strong>and</strong> minimizes<br />

floorspace. Each pump is 100% factory performance tested prior to shipment<br />

<strong>and</strong> is backed by a two year warranty against materials <strong>and</strong> workmanship.<br />

L_900 Technical highlights<br />

Split <strong>vacuum</strong> capability<br />

With the addition of the center partition wall (or center shroud) in<br />

the pump body, each half of the L_900 can operate at different<br />

<strong>vacuum</strong> levels with differential pressures up to 338 mbar (10 in. Hg)<br />

between the two pump halves. The advantage of this is significant<br />

because it allows the use of fewer <strong>vacuum</strong> <strong>pumps</strong> which saves<br />

space <strong>and</strong> installed cost.<br />

Quiet operation <strong>and</strong> easy maintenance<br />

Despite their size <strong>and</strong> capacity, the L_900 Series are amazingly quiet<br />

du<strong>ring</strong> operation. Sound levels of 72 to 85 dBa (measured at a distance<br />

of 1 meter (3.3 ft) from the source) have been recorded for even the<br />

largest of the pump models.<br />

Internal inspections are easily performed either through large<br />

inspection ports located in the pump heads or through unused<br />

discharge connections. No dismantling of the pump is required.<br />

Robust, reliable <strong>and</strong> ready<br />

Because the internal components rotate without making contact,<br />

<strong>liquid</strong> <strong>ring</strong> <strong>vacuum</strong> <strong>pumps</strong> are practically wear <strong>and</strong> maintenance<br />

free. The st<strong>and</strong>ard polyisoprene lining on the pump body resists<br />

aggressive process gases <strong>and</strong> <strong>liquid</strong>s to provide exceptional corrosion<br />

resistance. For added corrosion resistance, stainless steel internal<br />

components are available in certain models. Double-row tapered<br />

roller bea<strong>ring</strong>s increase life in both belt <strong>and</strong> direct drive applications.<br />

Installation Flexibility<br />

Due to the design of the pump heads, the L_900 models offer many<br />

options for connecting both the inlet <strong>and</strong> discharge piping to simplify<br />

installation in both new facilities or existing facilities where headroom<br />

<strong>and</strong> space is limited.<br />

models to the top discharge capability of the 2BE3 models, the L_900<br />

Self-recirculation capability<br />

The 2BE3 models help minimize water consumption through its ability to<br />

internally recirculate seal water – without the need for circulating<br />

<strong>pumps</strong> or external controls. The design of the internals also allows the<br />

pump to draw water from an atmospheric tank without an external<br />

pumping source alleviating the need for expensive <strong>pumps</strong> <strong>and</strong> control<br />

systems.<br />

sensitive materials. Throughout the entire process, they operate<br />

condensation-free – <strong>and</strong> therefore corrosion-free – because there<br />

are no operating fluids to mix with the process gases. As a result,<br />
