<strong>2013</strong> <strong>SUMMER</strong> <strong>CAMP</strong> <strong>POLICIES</strong> & <strong>PROCEDURES</strong><br />
Welcome to the <strong>2013</strong> <strong>KAPRB</strong> Summer Camp Program. Our goal is to provide exceptional care, fun<br />
filled days and educational experiences for all of our campers. This program is provided for your<br />
fun and enjoyment. Your cooperation, good sportsmanship and communication are important in<br />
making this a successful camp season.<br />
1. PARTICIPANT REQUIREMENTS<br />
The appropriate age range for children participating in our program is ages 5 – 13 as of June 1,<br />
<strong>2013</strong>. Campers must be residents of New Garden Township, Kennett Township, Kennett<br />
Borough or East Marlborough Township. Consideration will be given to children who live<br />
outside these Townships.<br />
2. TRANSPORTATION<br />
Transportation to and from camp on a daily basis is the responsibility of the camper. <strong>KAPRB</strong><br />
will provide transportation to and from Greenwood Elementary School for field trips.<br />
3. PAYMENT<br />
o The cost of camp for one child is $725.00. The cost of camp for a second child of the same<br />
family is $700.00. The cost of camp for a third child of the same family is $680.00.<br />
o Completed registration form and full payment is due to confirm your registration.<br />
o Payments made are non-refundable after the start of camp.<br />
o We will provide a very limited number of weekly camp registrations. The weekly cost is<br />
$150.00.<br />

4. CANCELLATION/REFUNDS<br />
o There is a $25.00 processing fee for all cancellations.<br />
o If you would like to cancel your child’s registration from camp, it must be done one or more<br />
weeks before the start of camp and you must file a request in writing to <strong>KAPRB</strong>.<br />
Cancellations will not be accepted via telephone or fax.<br />
o A full refund will be given for cancellations received prior to May 1, <strong>2013</strong>.<br />

o THERE ARE NO REFUNDS for vacation weeks, July 4 th , or for any other reason your<br />
child may miss a week of camp.<br />
o Absolutely no refunds or partial refund will be given if you withdraw your child, your child<br />
has missed days for any reason or is expelled for misbehavior.<br />
o If a refund is granted, the refund will be prorated by the number of weeks attended times the<br />
weekly rate of $150.00 subtracted from the original registration amount paid.<br />
o A $25.00 service charge will be attached to any check returned by the bank for insufficient<br />
funds.<br />
5. DISCRIMINATION AND WELFARE POLICY<br />
<strong>KAPRB</strong> does not discriminate based on race, creed, color, ethnicity, national origin or sex.<br />
<strong>KAPRB</strong> is mandated to report all suspected and visual signs of child abuse or neglect to the<br />
Department of Social and Health Services of Child Protective Services for the State of PA.<br />
6. INCLUSION<br />
<strong>KAPRB</strong> welcomes students of all levels of ability. If your child has a special need(s), you are<br />
required to contact our Recreation Coordinator, Claire Finfrock two (2) weeks prior to the start<br />
of camp to explain any special requirements so your child can have a positive experience.<br />
7. SNACKS, LUNCH & DRINKS<br />
<strong>KAPRB</strong> does not provide snacks or lunch. Campers must pack their own lunch and snacks.<br />
We want the camp experience to be as focused as possible, so we ask that sugar snacks be kept<br />
to a minimum.<br />
8. MEDICATIONS<br />
Please make sure that medications have been given prior to arrival at camp. Please inform the<br />
staff in writing about any medication issues, including medications that will need to be taken<br />
during camp hours. (Please note: The <strong>KAPRB</strong> staff will not be responsible for administering<br />
medications.)<br />
9. BEHAVIOR<br />
Fun and safety are only possible when there are behavior guidelines. Campers are expected to<br />
show respect for fellow campers, counselors, staff and camp property. Disruptive behavior and<br />
physical aggression are not acceptable.<br />

<strong>KAPRB</strong> Summer Camp staff will make every effort to provide a positive experience for<br />
campers. If a camper cannot live within the rules of the camp or the camper’s behavior<br />
adversely affects the experiences of other children, <strong>KAPRB</strong> reserves the right to issue a warning<br />
to the camper and parent/guardian. <strong>KAPRB</strong> Summer Camp will not accept behaviors such as<br />
profanity, disrespect and inappropriate actions or any unsafe behaviors that are potentially<br />
harmful to themselves or to others.<br />
If a situation arises where a camper threatens the safety or security of another camper, or if a<br />
camper shows disregard for camp guidelines, we will make every appropriate effort to inform<br />
the parents involved, and to correct the behavior and provide a positive camp experience for<br />
everyone. However, should disruptive behavior continue, the child may be dismissed from the<br />
camp at the discretion of <strong>KAPRB</strong>.<br />
10. BEFORECARE PROGRAM<br />
<strong>KAPRB</strong> will provide before care for campers at an additional fee. There will be no aftercare<br />
provided by <strong>KAPRB</strong>. Please check with the camp director for specifics related to rates and<br />
scheduled hours of before care.<br />
