CLUBS AND ORGANIZATIONS<br />
<strong>Kettering</strong> <strong>University</strong> Clubs and Organizations Recognized by <strong>Kettering</strong> Student Government (KSG)<br />
KSG recognizes a variety of campus clubs and organizations which operate under the Constitution of <strong>Kettering</strong> Student<br />
Government. Students may obtain further information regarding these groups, and procedures on how they can start their own,<br />
through the Student Life office.<br />
Aerospace Club: To promote interest in careers in aerospace and aviation.<br />
Allies: Provides resources and support for gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered students.<br />
Airsoft Club: To provide a structured environment for interested students to learn the fundamentals of the sport of Airsoft.<br />
Anime Club: The promotion, viewing, and discussion of the Japanese style of animation.<br />
Aquaneers: Scuba diving club.<br />
Asian American Association (AAA): Supports and celebrates the various cultural heritages of Asian-descent students.<br />
Black Unity Congress (BUC): Organizes activities to unify, stimulate discussion, and educate students about African-<br />
Americans and others.<br />
Chemistry Club: Dedicated to advancing knowledge about chemistry.<br />
Chemical Engineering Club: Offers support and resources to chemical engineering students.<br />
Chess Club: <strong>Kettering</strong> students play, compete, and enjoy the game of chess.<br />
Christians in Action (A-Section): Christian campus ministry.<br />
Cliffhangers/Rock Climbing: Rock climbing at off-campus facilities.<br />
Dance Club: Learn swing dancing, salsa, and other styles of dance.<br />
Fencing Club: Provides training and competitive opportunities to students interested in fencing.<br />
Firebirds: Automotive enthusiasts participate in competitive events, shows, instruction, tools, and facilities.<br />
FIRST Robotics: Competitive robotic challenges.<br />
Gaming Society: Members host matches and tournaments each semester playing Bridge, Euchre and other card games; roleplaying<br />
games; board games such as Chess, Battletech, StarCraft, WarCraftII, and Magic; and others.<br />
Golf Club: Members play golf.<br />
Green Engineers Organization: Hosts eco-friendly activities and events.<br />
Grill Club: Expands <strong>Kettering</strong> Student‘s knowledge of the art of grilling.<br />
Hockey Team: Members play regional teams through the Michigan Collegiate Hockey Conference.<br />
International Club: Members learn about history, world views, and diverse cultures.<br />
Jazz Band: Musicians play jazz, rock, swing, and other styles of music.<br />
Karate Club: Promotes the martial arts. Members who train regularly have the opportunity to join the World Tang Soo Do<br />
Association and to test for belts.<br />
Kettnetic Thunder Ultimate Frisbee Team: <strong>Kettering</strong>'s team competes in USA Ultimate college season and includes both A<br />
and B section members.<br />
<strong>Kettering</strong> Crusade for Christ (B-Section): Christian campus ministry.<br />
KLUG: <strong>Kettering</strong> Linux Users Group.<br />
Laser Tag: Members play laser tag.<br />
Mudboggers/Off Road Club: Sponsors trips to various off-road venues; promotes responsible four-wheeling.<br />
Open Source Club: Furthers student knowledge of open source software.<br />
Outdoors Club: Promotes outdoors activities, appreciation for nature, and sportsmanship through hiking, rock climbing,<br />
horseback riding, skiing, white-water rafting, and canoeing.<br />
Paintball Club: Members play indoor and outdoor paintball.
