The Opening Ceremony of<br />

CHW, Medic Training Held<br />

The opening ceremony of CHW (Community<br />

Health Worker) and Medic level<br />

1, 2 was held by RCSS Health Department<br />

on 11 July in Loi <strong>Tai</strong> Leng headquarters,<br />

Shan State in which RCSS senior officers,<br />

instructors and trainees attended.<br />

At the ceremony, Col. Khur Ngern,<br />

RCSS Vice Chairman 2 gave the opening<br />

speech, Dr Bert of Partner Group,<br />

explained the matters related to the training,<br />

and Naw Paw Sakae, deputy head of<br />

RCSS Health Department spoke words of<br />

thank and encouragement.<br />

A total of 27 CHW trainees and 22 Medic<br />

trainees are attending the 6 months-medical<br />

courses.<br />

Partner Group provides both the training<br />

equipments and financial assistance for<br />

the training.<br />

RCSS/SSA Holds the Opening<br />

Ceremony of Military<br />

Training<br />

Restoration Council of the Shan State<br />

(RCSS)/ Shan State Army (SSA) held the<br />

opening ceremony of the 11th round of<br />

the 3rd series of military training in Loi<br />

<strong>Tai</strong> Leng, headquarters, Shan State on<br />

17 September where the high-ranking<br />

officers, the instructors and the trainees<br />

attended.<br />

RCSS Chairman Lt. Gen Yawd Serk,<br />

heads of departments, high-ranking officers,<br />

invited guests, the instructors and<br />

the trainees joined the opening ceremony<br />

that held at No.3 training camp at 9:45<br />

am.<br />

Lt. Gen Yawd Serk and top leaders of<br />

RCSS gave the encouraging speeches to<br />

the trainees.<br />

After all participants saluting the flags<br />

and paying homage to those who sacrificed<br />

their lives for the sake of the Shan<br />

State, the opening ceremony came to an<br />

end successfully.<br />

Mother’s Day Celebration<br />

in Loi <strong>Tai</strong> Leng<br />

Restoration Council of the Shan State<br />

(RCSS)/ Shan State Army (SSA) celebrated<br />

the Mother’s Day or the 79th<br />

birthday of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit<br />

in Loi <strong>Tai</strong> Leng headquarters and Kong<br />

Mun Murng, Shan State on <strong>12</strong>, August,<br />

<strong>2011</strong>. RCSS senior leaders, SSA fighters,<br />

students and local people joined the event<br />

and paid respect to Her Majesty Queen<br />

and prayed for her long life.<br />

people participated the celebration<br />

of Mothers’ Day that held at 6 pm at the<br />

main hall of Supreme Office. All participants<br />

lit the candles and prayed for Long<br />

Live the Queen.<br />

Likewise, Wa National Organization<br />

(WNO), Pa-O National Liberation Organization<br />

(PNLO) and the 2nd Military<br />

Region of SSA celebrated Mother’s Day<br />

in Kong Mun Murng village together<br />

where local people attended the occasion<br />

and prayed for Her Majesty.<br />

The Ceremony of the 40th<br />

Anniversary of SSPP’s<br />

Founding Held in Wan Hai<br />

Shan State Progres Party (SSPP) held a<br />

ceremony on 16 August, to mark its 40th<br />

anniversary founding at Wan Hai headquarters,<br />

northern Shan State where SSPP<br />

senior officials, SSA troop and local residents<br />

attended.<br />

In the morning, the fruits and offertories<br />

were offered to the Buddha Image and the<br />

meals were offered to 70 monks.<br />

Col. Hkey Minn commanders in chief of<br />

SSA delivered an opening speech and a<br />

message of Maj. Gen Phan Fah that sent<br />

to the occasion read out by Maj. Thet<br />

Htoon at the ceremony.<br />

Maj.Gen Pang Fah wrote “We vow to<br />

fight until peace talks hold to reach a right<br />

solution of our political conflicts” in the<br />

message.<br />

After the ceremony, all attendees enjoyed<br />

the luncheon together and shared merits<br />

gained to the fighters who sacrificed their<br />

lives for the sake of Shan State.<br />

RCSS Representative Attends<br />

the 4th International<br />

Conference on Human<br />

Rights at Chulalongkorn<br />

University<br />

Sai Seng Wan from RCSS Foreign Affairs<br />

has attended the 4th International Conference<br />

on Human Rights and Development<br />

which organized by Chulalong Korn<br />

University at Bangkok on 18-19 August,<br />

<strong>2011</strong>. He presented his paper of Human<br />

Rights Situation in Shan State from 1947<br />

up to the present.<br />
