Eligibility: Must be a professing born-again<br />

Christian; be enrolled or accepted as a fulltime<br />

student in good st<strong>and</strong>ing in a degree or<br />

certificate program; plan to enter full-time<br />

Christian work in an area where mining is<br />

a major part of the economy; have previous<br />

association with the mining industry<br />

by having worked for a mining company<br />

for at least 3 years (1 year if the work was<br />

underground), be the child of a person living<br />

or deceased who worked for a mining<br />

company at least 10 years (5 if the work<br />

was underground), be either 50% or more<br />

disabled as the result of a mining accident<br />

or the child of a person, living or deceased,<br />

50% or more disabled as a result of a mining<br />

accident with disability to be determined<br />

by pension action of the UMWA or<br />

by personal physician; have at least a 2.6<br />

overall GPA; be willing to establish <strong>and</strong><br />

maintain a relationship with IMM for mutual<br />

encouragement; <strong>and</strong> provide progress<br />

reports at least once per semester.<br />
