Divine Horsemen<br />

A 1950s capture of voodoo rituals in Haiti, created by Maya Deren, an<br />

experimental filmmaker. Because she was an initiate of voodoo, this film<br />

became an influential work of visual anthropology. Its value to me is in its<br />

rare portrayal of voodoo practice prior to becoming well known outside of<br />

Haiti.<br />
