Corporate Social Responsibility
As it grows, KUFPEC continues to advance its core petroleum business and pursue more economic opportunities, KUFPEC never loses
sight of its corporate social responsibility which has been given a high position on the company’s agenda of priorities.
Guided by its core values and principles, KUFPEC has always endeavored to make a positive
impact in society at home and maintain a mutually beneficial relationship with the communities
where it operates. In this context, KUFPEC has, over the years, made substantial contributions to
road building, schools, religious institutions, medical and other facilities in fulfilling its mission to
contribute to the welfare of these communities and their inhabitants.
Recent examples of such social outreach and the responsible role KUFPEC plays included the
donations and support the company provided for recovery efforts in the wake of the devastating
drought crisis in Somalia and to support the Pakistan flood victims in addition to the donation
provided to Kuwait Fire Service Directorate as well as the sponsoring of the North Africa Technical
Exhibition and Conference (NATC) in Cairo, Egypt.
BIRDS
KUWAIT
Beyond the recent various traditional community outreach initiatives, the year 2012 witnessed the
launch of one of the most exciting environmentally friendly initiatives; KUFPEC’s fully sponsored
and first of its kind “Birds of Kuwait” book. The more than 400 page hard cover publication depicts
more than 350 local and migratory birds in Kuwait with individual photos and descriptive information of each bird.
The purpose behind the “Birds of Kuwait” book is to provide awareness to society on the necessary preservation and protection of
rare local and migratory birds, while archiving the more than 350 different types of birds that exist in Kuwait.
