The DaTAVIEW software which is installed as standard in the DaTABANK system is now available in
combination with the proven Hardware TOWER Systems from DaTARIUS. This new platform is the perfect
solution for the analysis of pre-recorded DVD Replicas, Stampers and Masters.
In keeping with the user-friendly DaTABANK philosophy, DaTAVIEW is the latest in software development,
Windows based, and introduces a new result display concept. A macro design tool (TEST MACRO
GENERATOR) enables users to compose a measurement strategy meeting their specific requirements.

New Platform
The CS-5 DVD Analyzer with
DaTAVIEW software is compatible
with the complete DaTARIUS
DVD Analyzer range, including
the DVD Analyzer 4X for prerecorded
DVDs. Combining the
CS-5 with DaTABANK and/ or
DaTASTATIONS is possible. Each
CS-5 system can be connected with
up to 4 Analyzers depending upon
requirements
Upgrade package for CS-4 Tower
systems
The upgrade package (upgrade at
customer site avoids unnecessary
downtime of systems) consists of:
• New Back Panel for Analyzers
• 17” TFT Touchscreen Monitor
(required by DaTAVIEW)
• A fast high-end Industrial PC
• Router enables communication
between system computer and any
other networking device.

Network technologies based
As all communications are based on
TCP/IP packet technology, all analyzers
that communicate with DaTAVIEW
require a RJ45 LAN Interface. This
enables data exchange between the
Analyzers through internet and/or
intranet (LAN or W-LAN). It is ideal
for data transfer, software, firmware
update, remote control.

In addition to traditional methods of
presentation, DaTAVIEW introduces
a new display concept. The information
that allows an operator to make a
process decision has become highly
complex and increasingly
difficult to interpret. Optimizing a
manufacturing process inevitably
means running very close to the
process window and it is critical to
see the relationships between all
the different parameters easily in order
to optimize the process as effectively as
possible. Running with the shortest
possible cycle time requires a critical
balance of process inputs. Previously,
juggling those variables required
looking at, typically, 10 separate graphs
and a very technical presentation
of those results. DaTAVIEW
displays those results as a dynamic,
living status, making it easier to control
the operating limits.

DOUBLE CHECK: If a position is
suspicious, in the double check mode
the position will be rechecked at 1X
or, in a split test another analyzer will
perform a recheck*. With a SPLIT TEST,
the DaTAVIEW software can combine
up to 8 Analyzers to further reduce
measuring time. The ENHANCED
LIMITS EDITOR allows Spec conform
and user defined limits to be set per
layer, per area (lead-in, data area,
middle area, lead-out) and per disc
type for greater flexibility and higher
levels of accuracy. With the innovative
Dependency Function, relationships can
be defined between signals so that the
limit check on one signal, for instance,
jitter will depend on the values of another
signal, for instance asymmetry.
With the DATA EXPORT TOOL, all
data stored in an SQL database can
be exported into any standard format
(Excel, Access etc) for later analysis
and statistical reduction.
