<strong>Occasional</strong> <strong>Care</strong><br />

Fees<br />

<strong>Hobsons</strong> <strong>Bay</strong> City Council sets the fees. Fees are<br />

charged per session per child.<br />

Reduced rates apply for families with more than<br />

one child attending a session or parents with a<br />

current Health <strong>Care</strong> Card.<br />

What do I need to bring to <strong>Occasional</strong><br />

<strong>Care</strong> for my child?<br />

• Lunch for children attending a morning session<br />

• A bag with a spare set of clothes<br />

• Favourite toy or comforter<br />

• Coat and gum boots in winter<br />

• Sunhat and sunscreen in summer.<br />

childcare for children aged<br />

birth to school age.<br />

<strong>Hobsons</strong> <strong>Bay</strong> City Council operates occasional<br />

care for all families of <strong>Hobsons</strong> <strong>Bay</strong> who require<br />

care for a child under six years of age.<br />

How can I access this service?<br />

Once registered with the service families can<br />

telephone on a weekly basis and book into<br />

a session.<br />

A waiting list is utilised and families may be<br />

contacted if a place becomes available for a<br />

child to attend.<br />

An enrolment form must be completed prior<br />

to a child attending a session and handed in<br />

to the program leader.<br />

<strong>Care</strong> Is Provided For:<br />

• Children to socialise with their peers<br />

• Parents to take a break<br />

• Parents to attend appointments<br />

• Parents who work part-time.<br />

What Is Provided?<br />

• Professional, qualified and experienced staff<br />

• Indoor and outdoor program<br />

• Relaxed environment for the children<br />

• Range of activities to cater for children aged<br />

from birth to school age<br />

• Nutritional snacks for morning tea.<br />

• To provide children with a warm secure,<br />

stimulating and responsive environment<br />

• To provide children with the opportunity to<br />

build their self esteem by making choices,<br />

and providing positive interactions with adults<br />

and their peers<br />

• To respect each child as an individual, allowing<br />

children to develop to their maximum potential<br />

• To treat all children equally<br />

• To provide an unbiased and developmentally<br />

appropriate program that stimulates<br />

curiosity and allows for children to learn<br />

through their play<br />

• To allow children the opportunity for<br />

responsibility ensuring they feel they are<br />
