Hello all you FABULOUS people<br />
out there. Welcome to <strong>April</strong>, what<br />
a wonderful month. The air is<br />
fresh, the flowers are in bloom and<br />
up here sometimes there is snow<br />
on the ground. I just love having<br />
the four seasons up here on the<br />
mountain. Spring is absolutely<br />
beautiful. My Daffodils are now starting to fade since they<br />
bloomed early this year. My Tulips are in brilliant color and now<br />
my Iris are about to bloom. So our yard is just an explosion of<br />
color right now.<br />
Spring is also a great time to start anew. I have been doing<br />
some spring cleaning. Well I need to be doing spring cleaning in<br />
my sewing/office room in our house, but I’ve been doing spring<br />
cleaning of another sorts. As you all know we live in Idyllwild<br />
and Idyllwild is a small town. It is a town where you can be as<br />
involved in activities as you want or be as secluded as you want.<br />
Well over the last couple years I seem to have gotten myself<br />
extremely involved in the community. So involved that I have not<br />
paid as much attention to my health as I should. I am Treasurer<br />
and President Elect for the Idyllwild Quilting Guild. I volunteer<br />
for the US Forest Service once a week, and I am now President<br />
and Treasurer of The Idyllwild Help Center where we provide<br />
assistance to those in need. On top of all that I volunteer down<br />
in the desert on Mondays at the Desert AIDS Project where I<br />
lead a quilting group that is also a support group for those of us<br />
living with HIV/AIDS.<br />
SO, in my personal life Spring cleaning I have decided that I will<br />
need to give something up, I am just being pulled in too many<br />
directions. So over the next few days or weeks I’ll have to decide<br />
what I need to give up so that I can put more focus on me and<br />
my health and family. Some of you know that I might be having<br />
neck surgery. It all depends on the insurance, as usual. I have 4<br />
disc bulges, a herniated disc, disc degeneration and some other<br />
stuff I cant pronounce. Not to worry, it has nothing to do with my<br />
headdresses. The headdresses are very light and do not put<br />
any pressure on my neck. It is most likely related to an old injury,<br />
growing older and the affects of HIV for 16 years. I will keep you<br />
updated.<br />
ALSO another FABULOUS thing that we just celebrated was my<br />
dear friend Bella da Ball and her birthday. She is as young as<br />
ever!<br />
